Best apps for diabetes sufferers

Can our cellphone help us if we suffer from diabetes? For several years, various sectors have begun to undertake to provide various solutions suitable for those with particular health problems. This is also the case of diabetics: there are in fact many programs designed to solve all those problems concerning the control of our meals, medicines, and more.

So let's see which are the best that we can install on our Android from today:

Diabetes: M () ... let's start with a program that takes into account the big picture: DiabetesM can take into account the various forms of diabetes existing, both human and animal, and check all information that has been entered during a certain period. In this way it can bring out an insulin control that must be done immediately, as well as the level of carbohydrates and other physical factors. Its free is not bad already… but paying for a subscription you can really access some better functions, such as a Bluetooth connection with compatible accessories.

Blood Glucose by Little Bytes ()… another very efficient program, which uses a Tag system to measure the level of glucose in the blood. It can also work through Wear OS and take into account all dressings performed through the system. If you change mobile phones along the way of your Blood Glucose usage, you can export the data to integrate it into the other.

Glucose Tracker ()… even though this program promises a bit of everything everyone else has promised so far, Glucose Tracker does it better in one respect for a very specific reason: it is very intuitive and friendly. Easy to learn, requires no subscription (you only need to pay once to activate it) and complete. The only problem is that it doesn't have Bluetooth support for recording information from external gadgets, for which it can still be a bit limited.

Blood Sugar Log () ... if having a thousand functions is not exactly your taste, you can always use this program. Blood Sugar Log is exactly what its name defines: a small collection of information on the level of glucose in our blood, without the need for complicated additional activities and functions. It is also possible to send and save this information via e-mail or cloud, adding, if necessary, a tag for each activity undertaken. Among the options we can also find a section for blood pressure, body weight, and the rate at which we are taking our medicines.

Google Play Books ()… a small addition perhaps more particular than the rest. In truth, all the apps that concern more the reading of books and manuals are indicated, but on Play Libri you can already find a large section dedicated to health, medicine and in particular what concerns the diabetes. They won't keep our problem under control, but they can still tell us how!

Diabetes by MyNetDiary ()… this service is famous for its cloud-based tracking, used for a multitude of different purposes. One of them, of course, is about health tracking and our diabetic state. The program is already ultra-equipped with a long experience in the diet sector, but it does not avoid being an excellent program to keep our diabetes. Each food we consume can be entered into the App, which in turn will tell us how many calories we have consumed and what state our body is likely to be in after a certain feeding. It takes some time (and a constant internet connection) but tends to be a particularly neat schedule. Some functions can be done better, especially since the App costs 10 euros in its complete form, a price that is perhaps a little salty even if still paid in a single time.
