With so many characters with different abilities at your disposal, building the best possible team in Hero Wars can be difficult. Building your team is a critical part of being successful in the game, and you need to start with the basics. So what makes the best team? First, you need to understand the different classes, their roles, and why they combine to create top-notch team lineups.
Tank - A tank is exactly what it looks like. These heroes will stand in front of their teammates, absorbing as much damage as possible and protecting the heroes behind them.
DPS - DPS stands for damage per second. While one hero can do a lot more damage than another, DPS takes into account how quickly damage is rejected. This means that the best damage dealers not only have high damage, but also do it fast.
Healer - Their main objective is to keep their hero teammates alive. They will be very effective in protecting DPS heroes and allowing tanks to absorb as much damage as possible.
Support - Support heroes provide support to their teammates by upgrading their teammates or taking out enemies. They are indirectly involved in the fight, but essential to the success of the team.
The strategic combination of these classes creates the best possible construction. Too much of one and the team will fail, not enough of another and the team will also fail. Like many good things in life, players need to balance their team. Heroes also have compatible artifact buffs and can work better together, this is called synergy. In a team of 5 heroes, you will need a tank, a healer, a DPS and can occupy the last two positions with more DPS, healers or support heroes, depending on the synergies.
Team "Twins" - Martha, Krista, Jorgen, Lars, Astaroth
Krista and Lars have the ability to mark enemies, allowing everyone to deal more damage to marked enemies. Astaroth is an excellent tank and essential to any team formed in Hero Wars. Martha is a phenomenal healer, able to keep her teammates alive. Finally, Jorgen has the ability to drain energy from the enemy team, which can be extremely useful while the entire team is dealing damage simultaneously.
Team "Shadow" - Elmir, Daredevil, Dark Star, Jet, Ziri
Dark Star uses his duplicating shadow and adds another attacker. Ziri has a burrow ability that allows Elmir to be hit and roll back, creating four clones. Daredevil also attacks, which means there can be up to 9 attackers at a time. This team is intended for high damage with lots of teammates from abilities.
Critical Damage - Jet, Jhu, Nebula, Sebastian, Galahad
All of these heroes have high damage and critical damage. It's another team full of direct damage. The DPS yield you will get using this team combination is huge, but heavily relies on taking out enemies as quickly as possible as their survivability is not the highest.
Synergy - Dorian, Astaroth, Helios, Orion, Nebula
Nebula brings buffs for the whole party, instantly upgrading everyone else on the team. Dorian does something similar with the skills he has. As mentioned in a first team suit, Astaroth has the amazing tank ability and will protect other heroes very well while all of those abilities activate. Astaroth also has a revive ability in case something, you know, goes south. Helios is a great hero who can summon Support Spheres to protect the team, a flaming sphere of AoE Solar Wind, and constant damage to the Opposition.
