Horses come to mind first when considering Red Dead Online, but the horse is nothing without the saddle. Stool increases speed and lowers core emptying rates and stats. The saddles in Red Dead Online differ from those in the single player portion of the game. There is some overlap, but the best saddle is only in Red Dead Online.
At the base level, saddles are needed to mount and call your horse. If your horse isn't saddled, it can't come to you from the stables, and you'll find yourself shamelessly crossing the Wild West with Scrawny Nag. Saddles do more than get you on a horse. The best bowel movements drastically reduce endurance drainage and core drainage. The better saddle adds an extra notch of speed.
Calipers are important. The best saddles, for all they do, won't get far without the best stirrups. As soon as you can buy the hooded stirrups for all saddles. Hooded stirrups greatly reduce stamina loss - the effect stacks up with the effects of the saddle.
The reduction in stamina provided by saddles and stirrups is essential, but stamina can be recovered by calming your horse. Every 15 seconds on a fully bound horse, you can press the appease button to regain some of the stamina bar. If you have the hooded stirrups and a higher level saddle, you will have almost unlimited stamina.
The Nacogdoches

The Nacogdoches saddle is the best in Red Dead Online. It unlocks early at rank 35. At $ 512, this is one of the most expensive saddles in the game. Price wise, it falls behind role saddles and special gold saddles only, and at rank that it unlocks, it costs more than most horses you can buy.
This is the best saddle and well worth the investment if you have the money. The only saddle that adds three bars of speed and acceleration reduces the endurance drain rate by 35%. This statistic is independent of calipers and will stack with added calipers. This is not the only saddle that adds a reduction in the drain rate, but the only one that can also have the calipers added. Considering how quickly it is unlocked and the fact that it doesn't cost gold, it makes it the best saddle available online.
There are a few downsides to the Nacogdoches saddle: the base drain rates are quite low. It is surpassed in terms of regeneration rate and pit emptying rate by many other stools. The second is a matter of opinion: the saddle is ugly and the few good color options it has don't make up for the terrible pattern and design. Both are worth the extra stamina boost.
Role saddles
All role saddles are worth buying. On average, the base drainage rates are very good and their stamina regeneration remains one of the best. These are also the most expensive saddles in the game. They are not the Nacogdoches saddle and won't reduce stamina loss, but you won't notice it with the use of hooded stirrups. We use several of them with hooded stirrups, and the stamina is still almost endless with appeasement.
Role stool statistics vary depending on the role. The Trader saddle is a good all-rounder saddle with solid stats overall, while the Bounty Hunter saddle prioritizes stamina regeneration over other stats, and the Collector saddle has the best drainage rates of base but a low rate of stamina regeneration. These are all top level saddles no matter what and depending on your preference are worth the cost.
The Foxmore

The Foxmore saddle was introduced with the Naturalist update and is only available if you have the Naturalist role. It is the most expensive saddle, even if you pay with gold bars, it is more expensive than the most expensive special saddle.
This is not a Nacogdoches saddle, but it is worth it. The base drainage rates are above average and the stamina regeneration rate is very high. Paired with hooded stirrups, this is a worthy contender for the Nacogdoches saddle. It only adds the two standard gears to your horse, but it's a nice saddle that just happens to be pretty good.
Once the hooded stirrups are added, endurance is still almost unlimited with most saddles. While the Nacogdoches saddle is the best in Red Dead Online, if stamina is your main concern, worry more about the stirrups.

It is priced lower than the Foxmore saddle for a slightly higher endurance regeneration rate and the same rate of health core drainage. As with all saddles, the rate of endurance drainage is negligible when paired with hooded stirrups.
Its McKinney

The McKinney saddle is the Collector's saddle and is only available if players have the Collector role. Special saddles
Special saddles are their own section, the best saddles in the single player section of the game, and quality saddles in Red Dead Online. Special saddles have a 50% reduction in endurance consumption built into the saddle. However, the special saddles are preset, cannot add stirrups, and have them already fitted. The 50% reduction is the same as the hooded stirrups, making them equivalent to a comparable saddle with the max stirrups fitted.
Although they are only slightly above average in terms of stats, they look a lot nicer than most other saddles, which is well worth it.

As with everything in Red Dead Online, the differences in stats make little difference. Pick a saddle you like, add the hooded stirrups and ride.
