Black Ops Cold War February 4 Update - Patch Notes

But that's not all. More than the basic Zombies mode received a bit of love. Dead Ops Arcade and PlayStation-exclusive Onslaught mode have also been reworked. GLOBAL

  • Addressed an issue that resulted in a choppy voice chat under certain circumstances.

MULTIPLAYER

Plans

  • Express [NEW]
    • Express now available in map rotation in Core and Hardcore modes.
    • 24/7 Express Reading List now available.
  • General
    • Addressed issue with uneven card distribution in cardless voting playlists.

The trends

  • Endurance (40 players) [NEW]
    • New high player count mode available on Sanatorium, Ruka and Alpine.
    • After a bomb explodes, a new one is uploaded to take its place, so five bombs are still available instead of an initial set which boils down to a single bomb before the next wave.
    • The score limit has doubled from 500 to 1000.
  • Accessory hunting
    • Added new cards to the Prop Hunt rotation:
      • Express
      • Raid
      • Strike at the crossroads
      • Armada Strike
  • Shooting
    • Added Nuketown '84 to the Gunfight map rotation.
    • Gunfight 2v2 and 3v3 now available in custom games.
  • Hard point
    • Updated the Hardpoint Owned score event to increase the score the longer a player controls the Hardpoint. This score modifier will be reset when leaving Hardpoint.
    • Secure Hardpoint Score event reduced from 50 to 25 points.
  • Dropkick
    • Reduced the number of late players who can join a match in progress.
  • Control
    • Added additional defender spawn points and updated logic for Capture Point B on Raid.
  • CDL Custom Game Modes
    • Increased the number of players to allow two viewers of CDL Hardpoint, CDL Search & Destroy and CDL Control.

Arms

  • Launchers
    • Increased minimum damage for both Launcher class weapons.

Equipment

  • Fixed an issue where players inside the smoke of a smoke grenade would get aim assist against players outside of the smoke.
  • Decreased hip shot accuracy when priming a grenade while sprinting.

Music player

  • Original Treyarch music unlocked through War Tracks can now be played in the Barracks Music Player, including "Pentagon", "Rooftops", "115" and "Damned".

ZOMBIES

Plans

  • Firebase Z [NEW]
    • New "Firebase Z" map now available through Endless and Round 20 playlists for all players.
  • The machine
    • Players can now complete the complete Omega Intel collection in "Die Maschine".
    • Fixed an issue on "Die Maschine" that would rarely place players off the map when teleporting from the Dark Aether.
  • Express (Assault - PS4 / PS5)
    • Express now available in Onslaught on PlayStation.

    • Fixed an issue that prevented Quick Revive from reducing regeneration time to full health.

  • Recharge
    • The Self-Revive will now only drop if a player in the game can equip it.

  • Sentinel turret
    • Fixed an issue that allowed the Sentry Turret support element to be duplicated.

Arms

  • Assault rifles
    • Increased critical hit damage on all assault rifles.
    • Increased the maximum ammo stock on all assault rifles.
  • Submachine guns
    • Increased critical hit damage on all SMGs.
    • Increased the maximum ammo stockpile on all SMGs.
  • Shotguns
    • Increased base damage on the Streetsweeper Shotgun.
    • Increased the range of the Streetsweeper shotgun.
  • Blueprints
    • Fixed an issue that prevented attachments from appearing on the "Western Justice" weapon blueprint.

Armor



  • Level 1 armor will now replace the first armor shard in a game when neither player has armor.

Ammo mods

  • Cryofreeze
    • Reduced Cryofreeze cooldown from 3 to 1 second to make it a more reliable method of slowing enemies.

  • Added a new “Requiem Advancement” challenge category for future additions.
  • Added the first set of six new Requiem advancement challenges: “Firebase Z Report”.
  • Added new Dark Ops challenge for "Firebase Z".

Dead Ops Arcade 3

  • Advanced solo start [NEW]
    • New private playlist available for Solo players.
    • Allows players to start at their highest Arena Control Point reached in Single Player. No stats or challenges are logged, but achievements can be accomplished, including “Find Fidolina”.
  • gameplay
    • Added a new pickup item: Divine Shield Potion - Grants the player a Divine Shield buff that allows the player to absorb a damage event (30 min expiration).
    • Added new key spawn locations: Added to the high road tunnel route.
    • Added a 1,5 second damage shield to the first person player when damage occurs.
    • Made a slight adjustment to the progression of the multiplier.
    • The automatic life grant now begins automatically after round 64. The player with the most lives to spare will now donate downed teammates with a 120 second cooldown.
    • Fixed an issue where the player's shield was active even though the effect was not visible.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented additional lives from being awarded at expected score thresholds.
    • Various gameplay bug fixes related to the disappearance of Fated Chicken, control links when exiting vehicles, unwanted kills associated with traps, invisible power poles, player-killing missile turrets, and more.
  • Enemies and friendly AI
    • Significantly reduced spider melee range.
    • Removal of the skeleton boss from the arena spawn.
    • Removed spawning demons from the arena.
    • Reduced Megaton's melee distance.
    • Reduced the spawn rate of the Megaton Arena after Round 64.
    • Reduced the health of the Megaton in the arena.
    • The Megaton Orb weapon is no longer a one hit kill in the arena.
    • After Round 64, the selection behavior of enemy targets is now fully weighted towards proximity.
    • Increased allied Skeleton Horde health, amount of enemies, duration, and weapon damage.
    • Fixed an issue where melee damage caused by a friendly Skeleton Guardian was not registering against enemies.
    • Fixed an issue where zombies could speed up under the effect of slowing the clock.
    • Fixed an issue where explosive damage against spider / meatball enemies would not register correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where the spider's enemies would not appear on the radar.
    • Fixed an issue that allowed the Gladiator enemy "Marauder" to melee kill the player when they were not facing the correct direction.
    • Fixed an issue where the Margwa would not drop loot when killed.
  • Destinations
    • Players condemned to the Divine Chalice now gain 37,5% more health faster than regular players per 125 points.
    • Tired users of the Divine Chalice now respawn with a temporary vitality bonus.
    • Players condemned to the Divine Shield now respawn with the Divine Shield buff.
    • After round 64, when a player condemned to Divine Shield picks up a nuclear bomb, all players will now be granted a nuclear weapon.
    • Friendship Fate player chickens now last 25% longer.
    • Golden Chicken associated with Friendship Fate now periodically produces eggs in the arena.
    • After round 64, the Golden Chicken associated with Friendship Fate will now have permanently upgraded weapons.
    • Fixed an issue that could prevent players from collecting a Fate in the Hall of Fate when the room expires (i.e. grabbing a Rock of Fate with less than 4 seconds before the hall expires).
  • Visuals
    • Added lighting to the Hall of Fate above Fate Rock bases 5 and 6.
    • Fixed an issue with various particle effects having visibility issues.
    • Addressed an issue that could prevent the player's selected character skin from displaying correctly.
    • Arms
    • Fixed an issue with the shotgun pickup that could cause it to start firing slowly before accelerating.
  • Stability
    • Added various crash fixes.
  • General
    • Added various exploit fixes.
    • Added new camera mode: Extra High.
    • Fixed an issue where the player could not use the flashlight in first person.
    • Addressed a collision issue in the Water Temple arena.
    • Addressed an issue in split-screen mode where players would enter The Wild in split-window mode.

Assault (PS4 / PS5)

  • Onslaught Express Playlist now available on PlayStation. [NEW]
  • Spacing of special enemy spawns.
  • Added additional enemies to "Firebase Z" mode.

Stability

  • Added various crash fixes.

General

  • The party leader no longer needs to install Dead Ops Arcade 3 in order for their party to join the other Zombies game modes.
  • Fixed an issue that caused zombies to maintain a slowing debuff indefinitely if it ended while they were covering themselves.

Stability

  • Added various crash fixes.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when viewing a replay in Theater.
  • Fixed a crash that could prevent the game from starting under certain conditions on Windows 7.

General

  • Addresses an issue that could cause the keyboard / mouse to lose functionality when opening and closing the Windows Key + G capture menu.
  • Addressed an issue where players could get stuck in the pause menu under certain circumstances during a game.
