Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ; Blackout Mode Guide

As we all know, the big news introduced by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in Blackout mode. It is now known that the most played titles of the moment belong to the Battle Royale genre, and the Activision franchise has decided to make a turn towards those territories. It goes without saying that, of course, this new game mode is not limited to simply reproduce what we've already seen in the various PUBG and Fortnite, but takes the basic rules of these titles and reinterprets them in a very original key. Precisely for this reason, if you are passionate about the two titles mentioned above, do not be surprised if you find yourself dealing with new mechanics for a Battle Royale mode. In this guide, we've collected all the most useful tips to get the best possible approach to Black Out mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Welcome to a new Battle Royale

As the most avid fans of the game will surely know, the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has given the opportunity to many gamers to take a closer look at the Blackout mode. Despite the fact that this game mode belongs, to all intents and purposes, to the Battle Royale genre, some peculiarities distinguish it from all the titles that have become its symbol. If you want to know a few tips and tricks to start your gaming experience in the Blackout mode, below you can read those collected by us.

As we all know, one of the most important stages of this type of games is the initial one: when you have to decide where to land. The moment you decide to launch from the vehicle that is carrying you, point the camera down. This way, in fact, you will increase your fall speed, and you will make sure you are among the first to "touch the ground", making sure you have landed right where you have chosen. However, if you are in your first matches, our advice is to land at the Shooting Range area. The reason for this choice is soon said: the area in question is by far one of the most crowded in the game and, for this very reason, is the ideal place to familiarize yourself with gunplay. It is good to specify, moreover, that the gunplay of this mode is very different from what you will find in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 .

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - always collect special items

Those who have already jumped headlong in Blackout mode will immediately realize the presence of some special items that you will be able to collect. Well, these items could make the difference between life and death. The moment you collect them, they'll give you special advantages and abilities for a limited period of time, which could help you defeat your opponents. Our advice is to use them as often as you find them, as, of course, they won't be very useful when your opponents kill you. Continuing to talk about special equipment, you should know that the Specialists' equipment will also be available in this game mode. Precisely for this reason, know that Ruin's Grapple and Torgue's Barricade will also come in handy in the Battle Royale.

Moving our attention to combat, we inform you that, at the moment, hand-to-hand combat is completely useless. Precisely for this reason, we strongly advise against doing things like, for example, hitting an enemy in the back with your knife, as you can not kill him with a single blow. In addition, the level 3 armor will be the only one that provides protection to the head, so until you get it, be very careful not to receive blows in that area of the body. Continuing to focus on the combat system, we have another tip to give you: in case you're in the presence of zombies, don't shoot them. Doing so, in fact, you'll only get one result: that of attracting other undead to your position. Precisely for this reason, pull the trigger only when you are already surrounded.

Use the strategy in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

As you'd expect, this new installment of the series also features zombie mode.

As in any self-respecting Battle Royale, your first objective will always be not to be discovered by your opponents. Precisely for this reason, we advise you to use the shadows and any other tool at your disposal to avoid being spotted, as well as to walk from crouching every time you have the chance: it's extremely easy to hide in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 . However, in case only one other player survived, apart from you of course, do not launch immediately in search of him, but wait for the narrowing of the game area to force him to come out into the open. This will be even more valuable if you are in a building or an elevated area.

One of the first things you'll notice immediately is that the game menu is definitely "not smart" to use. Precisely for this reason, we recommend that you always prefer the "Quick Equip" function, and use the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ; Blackout Mode Guideto quickly change the equipped weapon. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a hiding place, we remind you that the bushes you will find during your matches are not for you: the hedges are solid, so you won't be able to hide inside them. Also, know that you can shoot even if you are underwater. Finally, it is always a good idea to try to take out your opponents from long distance. Performing a kill at a distance is much easier than in games like Fortnite or PUBG. Always keep this detail in mind whenever you find yourself next to or inside a building, as running in the open field is definitely not advisable as a strategy.

In case the mini map should obstruct your view, know that you can always change its format through the game menu. Also, you'd better track down the Mystery Box as soon as possible: as soon as you see a blue ray in the sky, you'll be on the lookout for this box, the contents of which will come in very handy.

How to use the wingsuit in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

As in any other game in the Battle Royale category, even in Blackout mode you'll start your matches by launching from a high altitude aircraft. To reach the landing point of your choice you can use a wing suit, which will allow you to move around easily and get to your destination in a short time. What differentiates the new COD from virtually any other Battle Royale is that the above mentioned wing suit will continue to be usable during the match. All you have to do is reach a rather high point, take the chase, launch and hold the button used to jump. By doing so, the wingsuit will open and you will be able to move around the game map again.

How to find stock in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Just like in PUBG, Supply Drops are included in the Blackout mode of the new Call of Duty. These supplies will be launched during each mach, and you'll know if one of them has been parachuted as soon as you hear an announcement from the game's speaker. You will then hear the sound of an airplane and can follow the sound in question to process the area where the crate has landed. Once the crate has touched the ground, smoke will start to escape from the Refueling Box, allowing you to locate it and get closer to the loot it contains. The Supply Drops will be filled with the best weapons and armor in the game, including level 3 armor, the only one that will protect you from head shots.
