Crash Team Racing it's a driving video game developed by the software house N in 1999 for the console Sony PlayStation 1.
This is the latest title 
from the Crash Bandicoot series developed by Naughty Dog, who later left Universal Interactive Studios. CTR is also available via PlayStation Network for PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita. Crash Team Racing is a kart racing game which sees as the protagonist the good Crash, who together with his gang has built numerous tracks on which to compete.
Unfortunately, an alien named Nitros Oxide challenges the inhabitants of planet Earth: he claims to be the greatest pilot ever and challenges other planets, which in case of defeat are subdued and enslaved. Crash Team Racing is inspired in a not too veiled way by Mario Kart 64, released in 1996 for Nintendo 64, and by Diddy Kong Racing, released in 1997 instead.
However, the tracks, characters and weapons all derive from the Crash Bandicoot series: the player just has to choose a character from those available and try to win the races, taking his kart to the finish using the bonus boxes characterized by the classic question mark. In CTR, by collecting i Wumpa fruits contained in the crates without question marks, the player increases the speed of his kart.
