The Season of Dawn in Destiny 2 begins on December 10 and will run until early March of next year. The new season will focus on Mercury and our attempts to help Osiris bring back his old friend Saint-14. Bungie has released the Season of Dawn Roadmap, so we can take a good look at what lies ahead in the next season.
Arriving with the new Season Pass will be as follows:
- Instantly unlock the Exotic Scout Rifle, Symmetry
- Play the new 6 player activity: the sundial
- Exotic quests, seasonal armor sets, and ornaments
- New books of triumphs, bounties and seasonal books
- Exotic emote, ghost, ornament and finisher
- Additional season rewards to unlock
Although all players will have access to the following:
- Free seasonal rewards
- Seasonal Artifact: The Lantern of Osiris
- Help Osiris repair the timeline by restoring The Obelisks on four destinations.
- Unlock the Seasonal Armor Set: The Righteous
- Progress through the Season Ranks to earn the Exotic Recon Rifle, Symmetry
Sundial mode will be available on December 10 with Niruul, The Hollow Voice. This is also when we'll first get our hands on the new Osiris Lantern Artifact, which will give us access to seasonal mods and potency upgrades. There will also be a Solar Subclass upgrade, the Rusted Lands PvP map will be restored, and Elimination will join the rotation in the Crucible.
On December 17th, the Obelisks of Nessus and EDZ will arrive in the game. Ozletc, the Sky Piercer will be our boss at the Sundial and we will begin our efforts to save Saint-14. The Dawning will also take place January 17-14, which will bring some festive fun to the game. Iron Banner will be back on December 24th and our Sundial manager will be Tazaroc, the Sun Eater.
On January 7, the Sundial Legend will arrive, and the Devil's Ruin Exotic Quest will be available. On January 28, another Exotic Quest will be available, this time for the Bastion. On February 4, the Empyrean Foundation will arrive in the game, although it is not clear what that could be. And finally, the season will end with Crimson Days, which runs February 11-18.
