Does Persona 5 Strikers 60 FPS?

Persona 5 Strikers on PS4 and PS4 Pro

Starting with the more powerful console of the two, the PS4 Pro can easily handle Strikers at a stable speed of 60 FPS, 24 hours a day. It is only on some occasions that the framerate has taken a very small plunge, but that was only in very demanding cases, with thousands of particle effects at once and countless enemies on screen. Remember, Persona 24 is infamous for its unique and bright art style, and Strikers is no exception, giving this older gen console a bit of weight (well, it's an older gen right now) . The standard PS5 is almost the same, but with a few more frame drops during busy scenes.

Both versions include Best Performance and Best Resolution mode, which can be changed at any time through settings, so if you're more worried about FPS, just set it to performance. That said, the game is optimized so well that you won't notice too much of a difference in any mode. What we don't even need to mention is that the PS5 can play the game backwards compatible and of course easily run Persona 5 Strikers at a constant 60 FPS speed without any drops.

Persona 5 Strikers on Nintendo Switch

There is no doubt that the Nintendo Switch is a lower quality console when it comes to hardware, so there are some differences to be expected. Unfortunately, the Switch can't handle 60 FPS and keeps Persona 5 Strikers at around 25-30 fps, with a lot of frame dropping when the screen is busy. This is a very regular phenomenon, since the game is a hack 'n' slash, with Musou elements, so expect to have constant drops everywhere. No option to choose performance over graphics.

That said, don't feel like you have to get the game on the PS4, just because of performance alone. Of course, if that's what you're after, the PS4 is clearly the winner. But don't forget the Switch's selling point, which is its portability. Having a smooth gaming session is of course crucial, but does that exceed your need to have Persona 5 Strikers everywhere you go? It's also a full offline experience, so you don't even have to connect it to the internet. Either way, both versions have their pros and cons, so depending on what you want the most, get the respective version.

Person 5 Grévistes officially released on February 23, 2021 on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Those who have pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition can jump into the game now.
