Does Resident Evil Resistance have a cross play?

Resident Evil Resistance pits four survivors against a single brain controlling a diverse set of zombies and traps, attempting to stop them from escaping. The team of four surviving players must work together to try and make it to the end, with all of their efforts controlled by a separate timer. But for those who play it on PC, can you play it with those on a console, or vice versa?

At the moment, we are not too sure. Developer Capcom hasn't talked about cross-play multiplayer gaming. We're not sure about the game's multiplayer capabilities, but a cross-play mechanic would no doubt make it easier for players to find compatible matches. Does a player using a keyboard and mouse give them a distinct advantage? Not too much. Gamers are probably encouraged to use a controller on a PC, but not enforced.

Capcom has experience with cross play, however. They've made it available on Street Fighter V, so they're no strangers to making sure gamers have access to their games on multiple fronts. Potentially, we might see console gamers having the option to play with each other from a PlayStation 4 to an Xbox One, but the PC might be too far away. The Resistance released in open beta for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam on March 31, with the game fully released on April 3 alongside Resident Evil 3. Given the short distance between the open beta and the official version, it is unlikely to be seen before launch.

The Resistance offers six different survivors to choose from, and four different brains to play as in the game. You have to choose your options, optimizing with your team to make sure you get to the end of four. Unless you're the mastermind then you want to cause as much chaos as possible for everyone in the game.
