It's time for the Commanders to light up their Stone Cold Stunners. A WWE crossover event - SummerSlam - has arrived in Tank World, and it brings a host of wrestling-inspired items to Wargaming's MMO title.

If you're looking for more information on what exactly SummerSlam is, we've got you covered. Start those engines, get your kickout music ready, and let's go.

What are the World of Tanks SummerSlam start and end dates?

SummerSlam Season 1 is available starting today (Tuesday, July 21) as part of World of Tanks' Update 5.0. Fairewn downloading and installing the latest patch will give you access to the event, and it's free to all players.

The crossover event will also run through Monday, September 21, so you have plenty of time to participate in whatever is available in this WWE-inspired celebration.

What platforms is World of Tanks SummerSlam available on?

SummerSlam is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. Unfortunately, it is not known if PC gamers will get this content at any given time, so those who play PC will miss it.

What content will I receive in World of Tanks SummerSlam?

SummerSlam offers an exclusive season pass that includes WWE-inspired tanks, new garages to store your vehicles in, legendary collectible crews and more.

As part of Season 1 content, players will have the opportunity to order five Legendary Superstar Collectible Tanks. These were inspired by iconic WWE Superstars from then and now, and these are Steve Austin, Becky Lynch, The Undertake, Andre the Giant and Sgt. Slaughter.

Players can also experience a redesigned WWE Garage with Superstar introductions for each vehicle, unique visuals for their tanks, and crew chests made up of the five Superstars listed above.

Finally for July, Commander Mode - the type of RTS game that offers a different angle in vehicular combat - returns for SummerSlam, so you can test your skills and tactics in a whole new light.

August will see the arrival of some of WWE's greatest wrestlers, including Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Shawn Michaels. Crew chests and tanks based on these iconic stars will be available in the Garage next month. There is much more to look forward to, then, if you are a huge World of Fan Tanks.
