What are bots in Fortnite?
Bots have appeared in Fortnite just before the beginning of Chapter 2, on the heels of the major outage that the game suffered. They are characters that are not managed by real users who are playing the game, as is your case. These work in an automatic way and it is sometimes complicated to differentiate them from real participants.
Now, Epic Games mixes players and bots indistinctly in the game and this makes some of them official. To know if you are facing real users or bots there are a couple of tricks:

In Chapter 2 when players are on the apparition island, names can be activated in the camera options. Those who do not have a visible name are going to be the bots.
