Google frigated by its own April Fool's Day!

On the first of April we all become a little jokers and have fun playing pranks and jokes on friends, comrades and acquaintances; like all of us, albeit just a little more on a large scale, even the tech majors have fun publish hoaxes and fake news to make aficionados smile.

Among the many jokes, Google has - indeed, had - integrated a feature "Drop Mic”In Gmail, a feature that allows you to add to an email message an animated GIF representing a Minion pulling a microphone away. The "Mic Drop" button is located next to the "Send" button (replacing the "Send and Archive" button) and add the GIF to the message immediately silence the conversation without the ability to restore it - exactly the sense of the Minion's drop mic.

But given theuse of Gmail also in the professional field and dangerous proximity between the "Mic Drop" button and the "Send" button seems to have done more damage than smiles, making many web users furious: there were those who accused Google of having pulled too hard, those who complained of having involuntarily sent "Mic Drop" in a professional email addressed to 30 different people and who even has attributed to the “Mic Drop” the loss of one's job.

In short, Google has fallen victim to its own April Fool's Day, pulling on itself the wrath of tens of thousands of users, much to collect the "Mic Drop" only a few hours after publishing it. Definitely a nice joke but perhaps, given the reach of Gmail users, a bit too… invasive!
