Google announced the new Pixel 5 to 5G, mid-range smartphone that supports the two top of the range Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Compared to the Pixel 4a there are several hardware improvements, while the design has remained practically unchanged. Unfortunately it will not be distributed in Italy.
Google Pixel 4a 5G: full specifications
The Pixel 5a 5G has a metal frame with a matte plastic outer shell. The build quality is therefore better, as evidenced by the certification IP67 which guarantees water resistance up to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. The OLED screen from 6,34 inches it has a full HD + resolution (2400 × 1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In the upper left corner there is the hole for the 8 megapixel front camera.
The hardware equipment also includes the octa core Snapdragon 765G processor, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, 12,2 and 16 megapixel rear cameras (standard and ultra wide angle), 802.11ax WiFi connectivity (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Galileo, NFC, LTE and 5G, stereo speakers, audio jack 3,5 mm, fingerprint reader on the back and 4.680 mAh battery (the Pixel 5a 5G will be the latest Google smartphone with a supplied charger).
The operating system is obviously Android 11. Google promises at least three years of updates, so up to Android 14. The Pixel 5a 5G will be available from August 26 only in Mostly Black (black), but users will be able to purchase ($ 29) protective cases in four colors (Black Moss, Maybe Moon, Likely Lime and Partially Pink). It can already be ordered in Japan and the US at the price is dollars 449,00.
