The 2020 Unova Champion Throwback challenge will be available from June 3 and will run until June 8 in Pokémon Go. It will be immediately available to all players who, upstream, have completed the events of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. However, for those who failed to complete any of them and no longer qualify for the event, you can still participate.
Anyone who missed the event can purchase a ticket to participate during the hours of the event. You can buy it from the Pokémon Go app. Just open it on your smartphone and click on the PokéBall icon at the bottom of the screen. Go to the in-game store and you should find it available for purchase, but you won't be able to purchase it using PokéCoins. You can only get real money and the ticket is worth $ 7,99.
The ticket will be available from June 3 at 13:00 p.m. and will remain in stores until June 8 at 13:00 p.m. in your time zone. The challenge is not a timed event, which means you will have the opportunity to complete all tasks at your own pace. If you buy the ticket when you've already qualified for the event, each Pokémon encounter rewards you with 10 candy from that Pokémon instead. You will also receive Stardust instead of Professor Willow's glasses for the avatar reward.
During the event, Unova Pokémon will spawn more frequently, and the tasks available in the event offer trainers the chance to encounter rare Galarian Pokémon, such as Galarian Meowth, Galarian Stunfisk, and Genesect. In addition to these two Galarian Pokémon, Galarian Zigzagoon and Galarian Darumaka, will be potential 7-kilometer egg rewards during the event, so be sure to share gifts with your friends every day from June 3-8 to have the chance to meet more.
