Snapseed
The first application that I want to advise you to use to edit photos on the iPhone is Snapseed. If you don't know it, it is a very famous and used application that, developed by Google, allows you to edit photos in a professional way.
The application in question is free and, in addition to integrating different tools that will allow you to edit the photo using advanced tools, it allows you to apply Instagram-style filters to them. This last feature is in fact designed for those who are beginners with the world of photo editing, but do not want to give up giving an artistic touch to their photos.
Once you have downloaded the app from the App Store, start it with me to see how it works. To start editing a photo via Snapseed you have to press the button apri to upload the photo in question to the editor.
For editing the photos you will then have the items available Effects which allows you to apply a set of predefined filters to your photos and Instruments. This last item relates to the advanced tools of the app with professional tools such as crop, calibrate image, white balance, HDR, correction, perspective, brush and much more.
Once you have applied all the changes you have chosen, click on check mark symbol to confirm them and save your photo by choosing from the options you will have available by tapping on the item Export.
VSCO
If you want to edit the photos on your Apple device, acting directly from the camera, I suggest you download the free application VSCO. The strength of this application is in fact given by the possibility of being used as an application to take and edit photos, by modifying parameters related to the device's camera, for options such as exposure and brightness.
After you have downloaded the application on your smartphone via the App Store, start it and register for the service by creating a free account: press the button Register with your email address or on the button Register with your phone number and follow the instructions you see on the screen to complete the procedure.
Next, tap on the del icon square located in the center of the screen, press the button capacitor positive (+) lead located in the upper right corner of the opened box and, in the new screen displayed, tap on the photo to be edited and press on the checkmark located at the top left to confirm the operation.
Now, press again on the preview of the photo and then press the icon with the adjustment bars to act on the photo using the multiple filters available in VSCO. If you wish, you can also act on the image parameters by pressing the icon with the adjustment bars and then select the parameter to modify. You can act on it using the buttons and cursors that appear on the screen.
Once you have made the desired changes and completed the job, press on the item NEXT located at the top right and save and / or share the image using the options available in the app.
Prisma
A singular application that will allow you to create photos that can definitely stand out above the others is Prisma. It is a semi-free application that has become very popular for its atypical filters that make the photos taken into “miniature works of art”. You do not believe me? Then download the application and try it following my instructions.
Before describing how it works, I would like to tell you that Prisma requires an Internet connection and that access to all filters is reserved for those who have subscribed to the 7,99 euro / month subscription.
Once you have started the app, press the button Next twice and press on (X) to close the screen that invites you to subscribe to the Premium version of the app. Then, take the photo to retouch by pressing on white dot placed in the center of the screen or presses on the item Gallery located at the bottom to retouch photos already saved in the Gallery.
Now, all you have to do is choose one of the multiple filters available and wait for it to be applied to the image. When finished, press the sharing symbol and then decide whether to save the photo locally or share it online.
Pixlr
An application without a doubt worthy of mention is Pixlr. It is a free application that represents the mobile version of the well-known photo editor available online, which aims to become a free and light version of the famous Photoshop.
To carry out this purpose, the user interface of the Pixlr application is also simple and intuitive. There is the possibility to take a photo directly from the application (via the button camera), import a photo from your multimedia gallery (via the button photo) but also to create a photographic collage (button collage).
The tools for editing a photo are the simplest and most popular: via the suitcase symbol it will be possible to access a menu with basic tools for photographic retouching; through paintbrush symbol you will have a choice of options that will allow you to draw on the photos or make them artistic with a pixel effect. The star symbol allows you to overlay multiple effects and styles, the frame symbol offers the possibility to apply frames and stickers to the photo and, finally, the T symbol allows you to write a custom text on the image.
When you are satisfied with the changes made, you can save the edited photo using the button done that you find at the top right. You can save the image in the gallery of your device or even export it for sharing on the main social networks.

- Touch retouch: do you need to modify only some elements of a photo? Then touch Retouch is the app for you. At a price of 2,29 euros, this app currently in fifth position on the App Store, allows you to retouch photos with a few simple touches on the display of your device.
