How to Enable USB Debugging on Sony Xperia

Can't find developer options, development modes, or options USB debugging on your Sony Xperia? When you buy a new Sony Xperia phone, like Xperia XZ, XA1, L1, Xperia X Compact, Xperia E5,  XPERIA Z, XPERIA ZL, Xperia E, Xperia L or many others, the USB debugging option or Developer mode is not immediately found as they are hidden by default (as well as on other Android devices).

The USB Debugging option is an add-on feature designed for advanced users or Android developers and therefore not everyone may need it. However, USB Debugging is often necessary to connect the mobile phone to the computer and use "Android Manager" programs to manage the device from the computer itself. Without this activation, this operation becomes impossible. In the case of Sony Xperia, below we will show how to enable developer options or USB debugging.

How to Enable USB Debugging on Sony Xperia

How to enable USB debugging on Sony Xperia?

You can find many online tutorials explaining how to do this. Generally, for a Sony phone, just go to Settings> Applications> Developer> USB debugging or Settings> Developer options> USB debugging. If this is your first time logging in you will not find “Applications”, “Developer” or something similar in the settings application.

For newer Android versions, the developer options screen is hidden by default. To enter Developer mode or enable USB debugging on Sony Xperia, you need to go to Settings> About phone and touch Build number precisely seven times until a message appears stating that you are a developer or something similar on the phone screen. Now go back to the settings screen on the Sony mobile phone, find the Developer option. USB debugging will be present in the Developer options. Tap on this option to activate it on your Sony Xperia.
