How to get Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio in Pokémon Sword and Shield using Pokémon Home

Transferring Pokémon just got a lot easier with the use of Pokémon Home. You can now store almost any Pokémon you've encountered since the first games on a digital platform, and you can bring them to Pokémon Sword and Shield. You can even receive more Mystery Boxes, play with the Miracle Box, trade Pokémon, and have your Pokémon judged. With Home, the starting Pokémon trio of Pokémon Sun and Moon, Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio can now head to the Galar region.

To bring them, you must first transfer them to the Pokémon Bank. This is a subscription service where you can transfer all of your Pokémon from your Nintendo 3DS games to an online format. You can contain up to 3 Pokémon on this platform. You must register for the service to use it. When you submit payment and transfer it from your Sun or Moon game from your Nintendo 000DS to your bank.

Just like Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Home holds your Pokémon on a digital platform. To transfer between the two, you must first download it to your preferred service, your Nintendo Switch or an iOS or Android smartphone. After completing the tutorial, you need to purchase the premium service of Pokémon Home, which includes three different subscription options.

    • One month: $ 2,99
    • Three months: $ 4,99
    • 12 months: $ 15,99

You can sign up for the premium service from the Nintendo Switch eShop or from the app on your mobile device. After you've taken care of everything and connected Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home, you can move your Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio to your Pokémon Home box. From there, you need to connect your copy of Sword and Shield to your Pokémon Home app, which is done by tapping the Pokémon icon in the main menu of your Nintendo Switch Home app.

Once your copy of Sword and Shield has synced with Pokémon Home, you can freely move your Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio into the game. You should find them in one of your boxes when you turn on Sword and Shield. It's important to note that once you transfer a Pokémon from your bank to your home, it cannot return to the bank.
