With so many monsters and zombies trying to eat you alive in Resident Evil 3 Remake, you'll want good weapons, and few are as effective as the classic shotgun.
You'll likely find the shotgun before you can get your hands on it, as it's locked away in the downtown railroad offices. However, you will need to get your hands on the bolt cutters to access them. The map above shows you where the metro offices are, but first we need to get our hands on the bolt cutters.
To do this, you'll need to put out the fire in the alley on the way to the substation, so be sure to read our guide on how to do it. You'll need to find the fire hose, which can also be found in the metro offices, and that's what you might have been looking for when you found the shotgun in the first place.
Once the fire is out, walk into the Safe Room and record your progress. Take the bolt cutters on the security room wall, then return to the Kite Bros Railway offices. Be careful, as new zombies will be placed around the level, so don't assume all threats are dealt with if you've killed every zombie you've encountered.
The shotgun can be found at the back of the railroad offices, in the room right next to where you found the fire hose.
Use the bolt cutters to cut the chains, then grab your shiny new shotgun. Before you leave this area, be sure to grab the Red Dot Sight upgrade for your handgun as well.
