All videos that are uploaded to YouTube, by default, have public visibility and can be seen by anyone. However, both when uploading movies and for videos already uploaded to your YouTube channel, you can choose one of the other visibility options available among Non in cast e Private.
The videos Non in cast they can be seen and shared by anyone with the link. They are not shown in the section Video of the YouTube channel they were uploaded to and are not included in YouTube search results, unless a user who knows their URL adds them to a public playlist.

A video Privateinstead, it can only be played by the owner of the YouTube channel on which it was uploaded. It also cannot be found via the YouTube search engine and cannot be shared with other people via its URL.

How to make a video already uploaded to YouTube private
To change the visibility of a video that you have already uploaded to your YouTube channel, all you have to do is access the section Video of your account, locate the video of your interest and, among the available visibility options, choose the item Private. From computer
To make a YouTube video private from computer, connected to the main page of the service and, if you have not already done so, click on the button Log in, top right, to login. Then select theGoogle account of your interest, enter the Password in the ready field and the pulsating prize NEXT, to log into your account.
Now, click on yours photo, at the top right, select the option YouTube Studio from the menu that opens and, in the new open page, choose the item Video in the left sidebar. On the screen Video on the channel, then locate the video you want to make private and, in the column Visibility, tap on the currently set visibility option (Public o Non in cast).
Once this is done, put the check mark next to the item Private and click on the button Save, to save the changes and make the video in question private.
If, on the other hand, your intention is to make several videos private at the same time, put the check mark next to all the videos of your interest, select the item Modification in the top menu and choose the option Visibility from the menu that opens. Then select the item Private process the menu to tendin Visibility and click on the button Update video, to change the visibility of all selected videos.
How do you say? In addition to the visibility of a video, do you want to make other changes as well? In that case, go to the section Video di YouTube Studio, pause with the mouse pointer on the video of your interest and press the icon of pencil.
On the screen Video details, you can edit the title Description, the tag category and all other information related to the video, including visibility. To change the latter, click on the box Visibility, put the check mark next to the item Private and press pulsating end.

Give smartphone and tablet
If you prefer to make a YouTube video private from smartphone o tablet, you can do this both from the main application of YouTube for Android or iPhone / iPad which with YouTube Studio, the app for Android and iOS / iPadOS that allows you to manage your YouTube channel, monitor its statistics and edit uploaded videos.
In the first case, start the YouTube app, log in with your Google account (if you have not already done so), press on the item Collection in the bottom menu and, in the new screen that appears, select the option Your videos.
Now, tap on the icon of three dots related to the movie you want to edit and choose the item Modification from the menu that opens. Once this is done, press onvisibility option currently set for video (Public o Non in cast) and tap on the item Private. Then press the button Save, top right, and that's it.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to use the YouTube Studio app, start it and, if you haven't already done so, press the button Log in, to log in with the Google account associated with your YouTube channel. At this point, tap the ☰ button, at the top left, select the option Video and first video to be made private.
In the new screen that appears, tap the icon of pencil, to access the section Edit video, tap on the currently set visibility option (Public o Non in cast), select the option Private e fai tap sul pulsating Save, to save the changes and change the visibility of the video in question.
How to upload a private video to YouTube

From computer
To upload a video to YouTube from computer, connected to the main page of the Google video sharing platform, log in to your account, click on the icon cameraat the top and select the option Upload video give the menu check if you press.
In the new screen that appears, press the button Select file, choose the video you want to upload and click on the item apri, to start uploading. At this point, enter the details of the video in question in the fields Title, Description, Public e Age restrictions; if you wish, also select the playlist in which to add the video and click on the button NEXT per due turn consecutive.

Give smartphone and tablet
As you well know, it is also possible to upload a video to YouTube from smartphone e tablet. To do this, start theapps on YouTube, log in to your account and tap on the icon camera located at the top right.
In the new screen that appears, select the option Register, to record a video on the spot and upload it directly to your YouTube channel. If, on the other hand, you want to upload a movie available on your device, tap on its immagine d'anteprima, make any changes using the tools Cut out e filters and press pulsating NEXT.
On the screen Add details, enter the title and description of the video in the fields Create a title e Add description and, if you wish, add the location of the video by pressing the button + related to the item Location.
Once this is done, click on the item Public e seleziona l'opzione Private from the menu that opens, to change the visibility of the movie in question. Finally, tap the button Saveat the top right to save your changes and finish uploading the video to your YouTube channel.
