How to pre-order an Xbox Series X or Series S

Xbox Series X and Series S pre-orders date back to September 22 at 8 a.m. PST at various retailers.

To start off, let me remind everyone that Day 5 pre-orders tend to sell out quickly. I don't expect Xbox pre-orders to be as complicated as Sony's PlayStation 3080, nor do I expect the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S to run out of stock in seconds like the RTX. 22 from Nvidia. That being said, the X Series and S Series will be restocking over the next few months leading up to launch, so if you're unable to lock in a pre-order on September 5, keep checking with your preferred reseller. If my friends could get a PlayStation 22 pre-order within days of the initial chaos gone, you should be able to pre-order an Xbox Series X or Series S well after the XNUMXnd.

With that out of the way, let's get to the heart of the matter. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S go up for pre-order on September 22. There are two ways to secure an Xbox Series X or Series S, so for this guide we'll stick with the more traditional method: buy it at the full MSRP of $ 300 for the Xbox Series S or $ 500 for the Xbox Series S. Xbox Series X There are several regions where sales will go live, so let's break them down below (I've linked all US retailers, to make it easier to bookmark).

  • United States (8AM PT): Microsoft Store, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Target, Sam's Club, Newegget other participating retailers *.
  • Canada (8h PT): Microsoft Store, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, EB Games, The Source, and other participating retailers *.
  • United Kingdom (8AM BST): Microsoft Store, GAME, Amazon, Dixons, Currys PC World, Argos, John Lewis, Smyths Toys, VERY, AO, Tesco, Simply Game, Shopto et autres détaillants participants *.
  • Australia (8:00 am AEST): Microsoft Store, JB Hifi, EB Games, Telstra, Harvey Norman and other participating retailers *.
  • New Zealand (8AM NZST): Microsoft Store, JB HiFi, EB Games, Spark and other participating retailers *.
  • Europe, Middle East and Africa (9h CEST): Microsoft Store, Amazon, MediaMarkt, GameStop, FNAC, Elkjøp / Elgiganten and other participating retailers *.

Notice the “other participating retailers” bit I marked at the end of each? If you'd prefer a retailer to the ones listed, give them a call and see what their plans are. I know the base exchange for army and air force said they will offer a few, but I also know AAFES can barely keep the mandatory uniform items in stock, so be sure to follow up with your retailer. Some stores will allow pre-orders in person, like Gamestop (although they do determine which stores are open early store by store), so call ahead if you plan to place your pre-order in person as well. .

Good luck with your pre-orders! Now that Microsoft directly owns Zenimax, and in turn Bethesda and all the other developers under the publisher's umbrella, I expect more people to be eager to get an Xbox now than ever before. Again, if at first you are unsuccessful, mash your F5 key until you do.
