Since Hi-Rez restructured the Paladins progression system in early 2020, crushing the battle pass has become a much more deliberate and manageable task. Before the change, completing the battle pass and securing all the shiny cosmetics was just a matter of grinding. You had to log in daily and devote hundreds of hours to the game in order to even hope to complete it, methodically completing all of the challenges unlocked to speed up the process.
The new system is easier to use because all challenges are unlocked from the start. This makes the completion of the Paladins battle going on a matter of planning, and there is an easy way to maximize your progress.
To get started, go to the list of challenges at the top of the Battle Pass screen and browse the entire list to see what you need to do to get the most EXP fast. Then try to combine your goals so that you can complete multiple challenges at the same time.
For example, it is a combination of challenges on the
Darkness and Dragons Paladins Battle
pass:
- Play 10 matches with Furia
- Heal 25 in a match
- Play an Onslaught match
- Play 10 assault matches
As you can see, there's nothing stopping you from completing all four challenges - and potentially others - together. And this system applies to all Paladins the battle goes on. At the current rate that Hi-Rez is releasing them, we expect to get six Battle Passes per year.
But what about the premium track? After all, this is where the hottest battle content lives. The good news is that with a little patience, you can unlock the premium track just by playing. This is because the battle pass restructuring has moved the daily crystal rewards to the free track. Currently, completing two Battle Passes earns you the 600 Crystals needed to purchase the Premium Track for the next Battle Pass. And completing the premium title gives you enough crystals to buy the next one, and so on.
