All you have to do is open the WhatsApp, plug on the board State and click on the content you want to save. Once this is done, open the default file manager and navigate to the folder Media present in Internal Memory > WhatsApp.
At this point, you need to enable the view hidden files in order to access the hidden folder .Statuses. To do this, go to the main menu of the file manager and find the option Show hidden files. Once this feature is successfully enabled, the aforementioned folder should appear. Now, you just have to take a look at the list of files in the directory to identify the desired content. From here you can choose to copy / move them to the desired location.
How to save status images and videos on WhatsApp with Android
Status Saver is a great application available for Android which allows you to save photos and clips posted by your contacts WhatsApp in a really simple way. After downloading the app from the Google Play Store, start it and give permission to access the device memory by pressing the appropriate button. Once this is done, tap on the card Pictures o Videos (depending on the content you want to download) and then identify the photo or video you want to save on your smartphone. Click on its preview, tap on + at the bottom right and choose Save. The image or video will be saved in the gallery.

How to save status images and videos on WhatsApp with iPhone
Unfortunately for iPhone there is no application available that allows you to save the contents of one WhatsApp status. However, there is a really simple workaround that doesn't require the installation of any additional software: take a screenshot in the case of a photo e record the screen in the case of a video. Of course, this solution is also valid for Android.
In case you would like to save an image, open the WhatsApp, access the section dedicated to the statuses and then click on the desired contact. Once this is done, take a simple screenshot using the appropriate buttons. After that, use the editing tools proposed by iOS to change the screen if necessary.
