Is God of War: Ragnarok postponed? Release still set for 2022 according to Jason Schreier

Has God of War: Ragnarok been delayed? In the last few hours some doubts have arisen about the possibility of the game coming out this year, but journalist Jason Schreier has denied them: according to him, the release is still set for 2022.

You may recall that there was initially talk of a 2021 release for God of War: Ragnarok, which was then officially postponed to 2022 but for very specific reasons, namely the health condition of Kratos' voice actor, Christopher Judge.

This is not a delay due to development issues, so much of the extra time Santa Monica Studio had available was probably spent on motion capture of the scenes and extensive finishing work.

There's no exact release date yet, but God of War: Ragnarok will debut on PS5 and PS4 later this year, soon. We're guessing the designated time will be fall, but anything can happen.
