Marvel's Avengers Chimera Helicarrier will gradually open and expand, adding NPCs and vendors to the core area. The manufacturing machine is located on the first floor of the technology lab. While playing Marvel's Avengers, crates and fallen enemies will drop patterns, which you can bring to the crafting machine to decipher them. The machine will then give you a random outfit for one of the playable heroes, regardless of which one you control while using the model. It's basically the equivalent of engrams in Destiny, and likewise, patterns come in different forms of rarity.

Upstairs in the Tech Lab is the Inventory Locker, which serves as storage space in Marvel's Avengers. If your inventory is full and you collect additional equipment, the excess equipment will automatically be transferred to the inventory locker. By default, there are 300 slots available in the inventory locker for equipment and 300 additional slots for artifacts. Since things can get awkward when managing gear between six different characters, there are sorting options that let you categorize your gear by character, power level, rarity, or gear location. You can also only filter equipment for the character you control.
