OK GOOGLE does not work: how to reset

Ok Google it's a feature that rivals Siri in several fields, but it's an uphill battle for Apple's opponent at the moment.

Despite being a rather refined system, Ok Google is not perfect. Even this system can in fact encounter various defects relating to voice recognition or simple connection to the network. So let's see what we can do to restore most of Ok Google's functions.

OK GOOGLE does not work: how to reset

    • Take a look at the language. Sometimes it is important to see if, with some updates, Ok Google has not taken it into its head to recognize only the English language. Open Google Settings and go to Settings => Search and then open Voice. Under Language / Languages you will find the default language that you can set. In addition, we recommend opening the Offline voice recognition and downloading (or updating) your current language, so as to allow Ok Google (and consequently the assistant) to work even in the absence of a data connection.
    • Disable anything that can conflict. All programs that can interact in the same way as Ok Google: S Voice, Bixby or any other program you have downloaded. Rightly so, if two Apps are doing the same thing, they can conflict or take up too much cell phone resources. Therefore disable (but do not uninstall) anything that can do such an operation. You can do this by going to the Settings and then to the Application Manager, where you can search for the App you need to disable. Press on it and then switch to "Disable".
    • Check your microphone thoroughly. Sometimes the cause may be related to the microphone itself, both for a hardware and a software factor. Try and make a normal voice or video recording, try to call some other person and make sure that the quality of your voice is acceptable. Check if your Microphone is not "plugged" by dust and the like. Always make sure that there are no Apps that can interfere with OK Google, and always check all the settings related to your Microphone under the Google Settings, perhaps by resetting your voice recognition.

What if all of this doesn't work? You can wait for a system update, of the App in general, or perform a factory reset. In some cases, restarting (or turning off and on again) the mobile phone can also be a valid solution.
