Persona 5 Strikers: How many prisons are there?

Persona 5 Strikers: How many prisons are there?

There are seven in total that you can freely explore and complete their challenges. Do you see any similarities to Persona 5? Indeed, these instances resemble the format of the Seven Deadly Sins that the predecessor did so well, with its Palace system. We will take a look.

Shibuya prison

The very first prison in the game, which is of course a parallel universe of Shibuya. Home to the mad rabbit Alice Hiiragi, this dungeon serves as the introductory phase of Persona 5 Strikers. Don't be fooled though, there are some seriously powerful enemies here, ready to take you out in an instant, if they aren't prepared.

Sendai Prison

The first challenge of the game, Sendai Prison has a lot to do, focusing on themes such as demons and ghouls. Don't go too hard in this one, as you'll need to start playing around with the basic mechanics of the game.

The Sapporo prison

As in real life, politicians are a puzzle even in a gaming environment. Such is the case with this prison which is controlled by one and you have an obligation to change the situation. To avoid spoilers, from now on, I'm going to avoid referencing too much when it comes to the characters you'll meet in these prisons. Alice was an exception, as she was the "tutorial" boss in Persona 5 Strikers, which you can interact with very early on.

The Okinawa prison

A very difficult boss fight in this one, with a rather interesting twist to its plot. I really can't say much more because that would remove the mystery right away. Prepare yourselves.

The Kyoto prison

This place is strange and bit boring to say the least. Stealth in a Musou-type game is not my thing, but it is with this prison. Some familiar faces are also present.

The prison of Osaka

There is a very sad story in this dungeon, which you will have to find out for yourself, supposedly making the game the climax. While it really isn't as it becomes apparent after a certain event, it is too. quite a difficult place. Phantom Thieves prepares for the final challenge.

Tokyo prison

If you've played Persona 5 before this one, which you should by the way, you're in for a treat as it's heavily referenced to both its history and events. Completing this prison marks the end of the main game of Persona 5 Striker.

Persona 5 Strikers officially released on February 23, 2021 on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Those who have pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition can jump into the game now.
