Pokémon GO Halloween 2019: all Event and Shiny Pokémon

The following Pokémon GO Halloween was recently announced. Some of the festivities include the introduction of some Pokémon that will be new to the game, as well as others that you may find as Shiny or Shadow Pokémon for the first time. Here are all of those Pokémon.

New Pokémon

Once the event begins on October 17th, the Ghost-type Yamask will begin spawning for the first time. This comes from the fact that the Pokémon of the fifth generation have recently started to deploy. The Halloween event will feature increased spawn rates for Ghost-type Pokémon in the wild, in eggs, and in raids. So now you have the chance to catch a bunch of Yamask. If you catch a lot and collect enough Yamask Candy to evolve one, you can turn a Yamask into a Cofagrigus. Cofagrigus is another Ghost-type Pokémon that wasn't available before. Pokémon GO.

Additionally, the mythical dark-type Pokémon Darkrai will finally appear in Pokémon GO for the first time. Darkrai will be exclusive to 5 Star Raid Battles. So be sure to bring plenty of powerful Pokémon with a type advantage over Dark, such as Fighting.

New variants

Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle have all been in Pokémon GO since its debut in 2016. However, some newer variations of these Pokémon for Halloween will be in the wild or during raids on the Halloween party. During the course of the event, these four Pokémon can appear dressed in costumes. Pikachu will wear a Mimikyu costume, Bulbasaur will be a Shedinja costume, Charmander will be a Cubone costume, and Squirtle will be a Yamask costume. Costumed Pikachu will appear in the wild while costumed Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle will appear in raids.

New Shiny Pokémon

Some of these previously mentioned Pokémon will also sometimes be Shiny when you encounter them. A Yamask that you find in the wild, in eggs, or in raids could be brilliant. If you develop a Shiny Yamask, you will get a Shiny Cofagrigus. Additionally, the costumed Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle all have the potential to be brilliant.

New Shadow Pokémon

Finally, the Halloween event will bring other Pokémon that can appear as Shadow Pokémon during battles against Team Go Rocket Grunts. These new Shadow Pokémon will include Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Electabuzz, Magmar, Lapras, Mareep, Seedot, Nuzleaf, Sableye, Trapinch, Cacnea, Shuppet, and Duskull.
