How to get shiny meltan
Shiny Meltan has been featured in the game before, but is still only available for a limited time. One of those moments is about to start over again, so those who don't want it or want a little more should pay attention. Shiny Meltan returns as part of the Pokémon Home event, celebrating the integration of services allowing mobile game transfers to the new hub. So how does it work?
The Pokémon Home event kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, November 17 at 8 a.m. and continues through Monday, November 23 at 22 p.m. During these hours, Meltan can appear in his shiny form, but previously you had to access Pokémon Let's GO to get it. It's now over thanks to Home, so just follow the guide above to log in and transfer something to activate the Mystery Box.
What is the Mystery Box? We explain it to you here, but in short, it makes Meltan appear near you while it's open. Previously, to activate it you had to send a character to Let's GO, but now it will be donated and activated if you log in and send Pokémon home. Once ready, simply open the Mystery Box by selecting it from your item menu during event hours. Meltan will start appearing near you and if you're lucky a few will be shiny.
Just a good time, because you will have to wait a few days before opening the Mystery Box again. It takes three days for it to fully charge, so if you start on Monday, you have a chance of getting three full boxes which should definitely make you shine, unless you're very unlucky.
