Pokemon Masters: How To Get Blue

Pokemon Masters: How To Get Blue

Pokémon Masters released towards the end of last week, and the new game received tremendous support as it brings new mechanics, three-on-three battles, and synchronized pairs. Unlike other Pokemon games, this one does not contain any Pokemon for trainers to catch. Instead, they have to rely on Sync Pairs, iconic trainer pairs with their ideal Pokemon partner. In a new event called Reaching the Top, Blue, the main rival of Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue, is now available. Here's how you can acquire Blue and his partner, Pidgeot.

Where to find blue

Like any other Sync pair in the game, trainers must acquire this iconic trainer by catching it in second place in the Sync Pair Scout store. In short, this means that players are going to have to try their luck at getting blue by getting it at random using gems. While many may think this is a difficult or frustrating way to get the character, the developers behind Pokémon Masters littered with gems throughout the game to make it easier for players to build themselves up.

Additionally, during the Reaching the Top event, players have an increased chance of pulling Blue and his Pidgeot from the game from 65 available synchronized pairs. Blue and Pidgeot are a five-star sync pair, so the increased odds help a bit.

Take part in the 'Reaching the top' event

A great way to collect gems is by completing missions, getting through Pokemon Masters main story, and participating in the Reaching the Top event. The event features a short story where the player character meets Blue and fights against other trainers. At the end of the story, Coaches have a series of boss battles at their disposal to test their skills in using the Reaching the Top story team.

For those coaches who think they don't have enough participants to take part in the event, fear not. Everyone gets the same team of Flannery and Torkoal, Blue and Pidgeot, as well as the player character and their Pikachu. All synchronized pairs are level throughout the event, ensuring that players who have been playing for hours or those who have just started can participate in the event - by completing each of the players on the Reaching the Top of the a series, it's time to go through and use them to grab Blue.

To participate in the event, go to the "Explore" tab at the bottom of the screen and click on the "Events" tab below Pokemon Masters main story. The event kicked off on September 2 and will run monthly until the 29th. Coaches have until the 29th to have a better chance of adding Blue. Another event will likely take place in October when the game introduces a new coach.

Pokémon Masters is available for free on Google Play and Apple Store.
