Pokémon Sword & Shield: Crown Tundra DLC - Use these Pokeballs to hunt legendary Pokémon

Pokémon Sword & Shield: Crown Tundra DLC - Use these Pokeballs to hunt legendary Pokémon

There are several types of Pokeballs that are just as good as Masterballs and much easier to get your hands on. If you're struggling to catch the Legendary Pokemon Titan, Legendary Birds, or any of the other Pokemon hidden in the Galar Wilderness, these are the Pokeballs you want to get. And you'll want to get a lot of it too.

Best Pokeballs to Use on Legendary Pokémon in Crown Tundra

There are two types of bullets essential for the legendary hunt: Timer balls et Fast balls.

  • Where to find:
    • Fast balls: Sold to Wyndon Pokemart for 1000 each.
    • Timer balls: Sold by Watts vendors in the wilderness for 50 watts each. Their inventory changes daily, so double-check if there isn't.

When you encounter Legendary Pokémon or whatever, it can cost over 20 Ultra Bullets or more to finally earn a catch. Even if you improve your odds as much as possible by lowering your opponent's HP at 1 with Fake sweep.

It's possible to catch with Ultra Balls, but Timer Balls and Quick Balls are some of the best Pokeballs possible - better than Ultra, but not as good as Master Balls. Here is the basic setup for each encounter.

  • Legendary encounter: which pokeballs to use
    • Tour 1: Throw Fast ball (Quick Ball is only useful on the first turn. Even at full HP, it is possible to catch a Legendary.)
    • Turn 2-9: Reduce your target HP at 1. If you have already done this and you still have left turns, use Ultra balls.
    • To be 10 years old and over: Use Timer balls at turn 10 and beyond. This is when a Timer Ball is fully charged and retains its usefulness.

Timer Balls are some of the most OP Pokeballs in the game - and they're among the few that are relatively easy to obtain. Just check the Wild Area Watts suppliers every day until they appear. Collect watts out of the 2000 Watt Dens and you will ultimately have plenty of watts to spend on those insanely valuable Pokeballs.

With Timer Balls, your legendary hunt should go a lot easier. You will still waste a lot of it, but it increases your chances quite a lot.
