On September 19, 2019, FoxNext released the long-awaited update to MSF 3.5. This major update is expected to renew and extend the life of the game which has started to lose its player database rapidly in recent months. Following the news that Disney is set to sell FoxNext, the 3.5 Update is relaxing news for all MSF fans worried about the future of the game.

Obviously, the best way to keep players busy is to increase the level cap. Reaching level 75 will take a month or more for an average player, so this should give FoxNext time to think about other major upgrades needed to rekindle player interest. The second big change in this new update is the introduction of Alliance War Leagues. This is a great idea if you ask me, especially if the leaderboard gives Alliances some interesting rewards that will help players in unique ways.

From now on, characters can upgrade to gear level 14. Unique materials for level 14 are extremely expensive. 7200 War Credits for a piece of material means that you will have to collect materials for months to be able to move from one character to another level. This shouldn't put you off, because when Gear Tier 13 was introduced many players thought they would. never train a character to rank 13 and half of the player database now contains Ultron which means they have upgraded at least 6 characters to level 13 so far. You should consider this as another agricultural goal that will be achieved sooner or later. Of course, you'll have to decide which characters need to upgrade to level 14 and immediately start equipping.

As with all updates so far, this update also introduces new heroes to the MSF repertoire and additionally improves some characters that were previously unnecessary. The new heroes are Graviton, Agent Coulson, and Invisible Woman, while Scientist Supreme, Wolverine, and AIM Minions are greatly improved. This upgrade to AIM minions and Scientist Supreme isn't nearly as big as the upgrade to the Kree and Ronan minions, but today the AIM team could be dangerous at least. Wolverine's special ability is now enhanced and it can be even better if the rest of X-Men (Phoenix, Psylocke, Cyclops) are on a team with him.

Graviton is a particularly effective AIM controller with AIM team during Alliance Warfare. His skill set is nothing fancy, but his passive ability in war allows him to apply Disrupted to any target whose health drops below 75%, which is an incredible feat. Additionally, it can simultaneously slow primary and adjacent targets, dealing medium damage, and knock out a single target, dealing damage to them based on the number of negative effects that target has taken. Graviton is a nice addition to the AIM team with Scientist Supreme and that team now has some value in the game.

Agent Coulson was announced in the first half of this year, but we've had to wait until now to see him. Rumors on the internet have predicted that Coulson will be a leading hero with incredible skills, but in the end he is not very good, despite having unmatched qualities in the field of war defense. I'm not saying Agent Coulson isn't good, I'm just saying he's not as good as expected. Her ultimate attacks all enemies for a medium amount of damage, applies taunt and defense against the enemy with the highest damage, and summons up to 2 allies to attack the primary target. In War Defense, his ultimate is much stronger since it also eliminates the positive effects of the enemy that deals the most damage. His special ability deals medium damage to all enemies. In War Defense, it removes positive effects from all enemies, applies Slow Slowness on all tech targets, and steals and reverses up to 4 positive effects on the primary target. Normally the passive ability grants him help from SHIELD Medic whenever his health drops below 50%, but in War Defense he improves health and stamina for himself and all allies in SHIELD and, more importantly again, it grants immunity to all SHIELD allies at the start of combat. This practically means that the SHIELD team will no longer be vulnerable to the Brotherhood of Mutants in the Alliance War. It's still a theory, but honestly I can't think of any team that will be able to defeat Team SHIELD with Agent Coulson in Alliance War Defense. In the other segments of the game Coulson isn't as strong and that's why I don't think he deserves to be a top hero.

Invisible Woman is long overdue after the introduction of Namor, The Thing, Human Torch, and Mister Fantastic. We all knew she was a legendary character on the Fantastic Four team, but honestly I didn't think she would bring a balance change in the game and I thought the X-Men team would dominate the game. arena for a long time. Invisible Woman definitely deserves legendary status because she is versatile (she can be used successfully with many heroes, not just Fantastic Four characters) and she thwarts Phoenix's initial Stealth. It grants stealth and defense to all allies except the best health ally, which is granted 3 defense and immunity for 2 turns instead of stealth. Her ultimate applies Offense Down for 2 turns to all enemies and protects all allies with a barrier equal to 40% of Invisible Woman Health. Keep in mind that Invisible Woman is protection, which means her barrier will add up to 50000 extra health to all allies. When we consider the fact that the Invisible Woman will freely attack anyone who attacks her ally with barrier, we come to the conclusion that her skill set is totally overwhelmed. In theory, a team consisting of Ultron, Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and Human Torch should be able to oppose any other combination in the arena, while in Alliance War, Namor could replace Ultron. to form a new winning AW team.

In the coming days, we should expect more surprises from FoxNext. If you look closely at the loading screen, you will be able to notice Beast and Hela, and they will likely be introduced to the game soon. Beast is expected to be mutant X-Men according to the comics while Hela is Asgardian Villain. I certainly hope that FoxNext will continue to implement some cool new things in the game, because I just love this game and I would hate to see this great game end anytime soon.

Until then, good luck, commanders, and may the RNG be with you!
