Print from iPhone

    Print from iPhone

If you think that printing from iPhone is a complex or even impossible operation, you are wrong: printing from iPhone is actually very simple. Obviously having the proper printer.

The iPhone uses a protocol called AirPrint, a language used to communicate via Wi-Fi with all printers within the operating range of the Wi-Fi connection.

Since the iPhone uses the protocol Air Print, it is therefore necessary to first verify that this protocol is one of the languages that the printer is able to understand. Basically, that is, it is not enough to have a Wi-Fi printer to be able to print from the iPhone, but we will first have to download a sort of "translator" that is able to interpret the AirPrint protocol and translate it into a language that is understandable for the our printer.

Conversely, if our Wi-Fi printer supports the AirPrint protocol, printing will be a very simple operation. Just choose the item Print from the drop-down menu of any app that supports printing, the browser for one thing, and a window will automatically open with all the Wi-Fi printers present in the range of the device.

We choose our printer, start printing and that's it.

On the other hand, a sore point if our Wi-Fi printer does not support the Air-Print protocol: almost all the translator programs are designed for professional use and are therefore for a fee, even if the app is certainly the best in the App Store, that is to say Printer Pro, it cost very little, that is 5,49 Euro.

The free version of Printer Pro it is not a real protocol conversion program, but a simple tool that allows us to check, for free, if our printer supports the Air Print protocol or not, or if we need the paid version of the conversion tool or we do not need it.
