You won't find any valuable ammo, health items or equipment. It's entirely a royal weapon, so go straight after the enemy. There is no reason to wait for an opportunity. You better seize the moment. It would help if you didn't worry about healing yourself as you automatically start healing when you're not in combat.
Everyone gets a general notification when someone has a pot in hand for their last kill. It can be useful to glance at the scoreboard every now and then to see which team member has the most wins or to see which on the enemy team continues to dominate you. It might be best to help your teammate rack up the most kills, like luring enemies into traps or distracting them to break their armor. Teamwork is at the heart of this game mode, but it doesn't hurt to elevate the best player to make sure everyone wins.
