Raider Ride Explained in Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Palicos unlocks amazing features in Monster Hunter World, from helping you in battle, temporarily bonding with wild monsters (then riding them like mighty horses). In Monster Hunter World Iceborne, Tailraiders, as these friendly monsters are called, can now become your mighty steed.

Tailors were always a kind of charming side event. Sometimes a Jagras would get so taken up with your prowess that they would bow to your superiority while you were in their territory and let your Palico lead them and help you in battle. It was definitely more for your Palico than it was for you as a hunter, but it was still a cute event that gave you even temporary allies. In Iceborne, you can ride these Tailraiders.

According to the responsible Monster Hunter World Iceborne website, a Raider Ride is a small Tailraider monster that you can ride. You can ping a location on the map and it will take you there automatically. If you don't do one, it will find and follow the leads for you. Note that you can't control the monster directly, but you can collect items, use your slinger, open your map, and a few other actions.

The Fanboy Attack website notes that the monsters get tired as you ride them, and there are times when they aren't summoned. They also have a quick guide on unlocking Raider Ride. The Raider Ride is a reward for making friends with Boaboa in the white coverage area.

All you have to do is hunt a monster within Hoarfrost's reach, attend their council meeting in Boaboa's lair, and complete the quest titled “By Our Combined Powers”.

Once you have done all three you will receive the Raider Pilot Call which will be permanently in your Item Bar.

Raider Ride is a fantastic way to expand the game. It makes hunting and tracking easier without losing quality. Remember to find new Tailraiders whenever you can.
