Il Rocket 4 Plus is available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB versions.
Needless to say, however, the prices are very high: just over 200 € for the starting one, 450 euros for the 2 TB version and even 1000 euros for the 4 TB one.

We have run several test e benchmarks on our Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus: the applications used were CrystalDiskMark, ATTO Disk Benchmark e Anvil’s Storage Utilities.
We then compared the results with some among others SSD that we tested earlier.
Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus • CrystalDiskMark
The first benchmark we face is CrystalDiskMark, a classic among disk performance evaluation applications.
The setting of our program includes tests both in writing and also in reading, first sequential and then random.
Both the first two sequential tests on files from 1 MB (both reading and writing) were made on single thread, first with tail of 8 and subsequently with tail equal to 1.
I random tests on files of the size of 4KB they follow the same trend, only that the queue in the first case amounts to 32 and then back to 1.
The tests are performed 5 times higher and the duration of the transfer is 1 GB overall.
Il result is surprising: il Sabrent touches 7000 MB/s in sequential reading and reaches i 6100 MB / s in writing. Data that as we will see, with longer queues on ATTO, will grow further in writing, confirming those declared by the company.
Such speeds are impressive if we wanted to compare them with simple ones SSD Nvme standard, but they are no less even if we compare them to a SSD Nvme 4.0 like the Aorus present in the graph.
However, it is important to point out that there are approx 60 euro difference with the model just mentioned, which should rather be compared to the classic Rocket 4 and not his version Plus improved.
In any case, as we can see from the graphs, the Rocket 4 Plus leaves no hope to the classics SSD Nvme 3.0, annihilates the SSD SATA and even makes the top of the range look bad Nvme 4.0 such as'Aorus.
Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus • ATTO Disk Benchmark
We carry out the second test on ACT Disk Benchmark: another super versatile application for disk performance evaluation.
This tool allows us to establish the length of the transfer (in our case only 256 MB) and the size of the files to be transferred (leaving the default ones we have an overall view).
The program is very precise and up to us ATTO particularly like it, since it gives a broader view of the behavior of the disks than the one already seen CrystalDisk.
Also in this case the Rocket 4 Plus confirms what we would have expected: the minimum write speed on standard size files never drops below 6.35 GB / s.
Reading is clearly even faster. All tests are very consistent with each other, even with rather distant file sizes such as 48 MB and 256 KB.
The previous scenario is then repeated if we wanted to compare the Rocket 4 Plus with other devices: there is no story.
The only one who clearly just manages to get close, or at least tries, as usual is theAorus, which, however, we remember costs well 60 euro less and offers fully sufficient performance for the normal use of a PC.
Il Rocket 4 Plus it is a truly exaggerated device, so powerful that it may just stomp its toes. The question arises: do we really need a SSD so?
Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus • Anvil’s storage Utilities
Anvil’s storage Utilities is a more da program benchmarking che da test. Yet this gives us certain values that we had not yet seen so far: latencies.
We also find data without units of measurement, which are simply scores. As I had previously anticipated Anvil is a tool so much from test how much more from benchmarking.
The results therefore in this case can not be of much use if we do not compare them with some other device.
We also have at our disposal the response times in latency, or le I / O operations in addition to the classic speed in MB / s.
If we go now to compare ours device with the alternatives that the market makes available we note again that there is absolutely no term of comparison with the classics SSD Nvme 3.0 and that the only one able not to disfigure before the Sabrento is again theAorus.

We figured out how the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus is a final monster of the world of SSD Nvme, we just have to ask ourselves: is it worth buying it?
It is definitely a one of the most powerful devices if not the most powerful around. It even manages to beat the 980 Pro by Samsung and WD Black di Western Digital, which although they have not been tested in first person have now a certain reputation.
These two SSD newly appointed offer lower performance at a lower price.
However in the case of the 980 Pro the price difference is relatively short (just 20-30 euros), in the case of WD Black it is much wider. In some ways it wouldn't make sense to buy a 980 Pro for so little difference, while for example a WD Black o un Aorus Gen 4 they offer balanced performance at their prices.
Il Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus remains one Excellent Nvme 4.0 SSD, but only for those aiming for the top.
Moreover, it is really expensive and we are sure that over 90% of our readers would not be able to perceive the difference between two. Very fast SSDs like the Sabrent and the Aorus.
