Should you choose Scorbunny, Sobble, or Grookey in Sword and Shield?

Pokemon Sword and Shield are just around the corner. As time goes by, there is a lot of pressure to pick your starter, if you haven't already. Besides choosing which version to get, choosing the starting partner is the most important choice in the game.

Each main line Pokémon The game offers three different entries with Fire, Water, and Grass types. In Sword and Shield, these options are Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey respectively. Each type has its own strengths. Without knowing the details of the final evolutions, it is difficult to make a choice.

All Pokémon are suitable for a beginner trainer. Although very new trainers may struggle with the energy of Scorbunny or a particularly shy Sobble. If you are feeling intimidated by either, Grookey should be your choice. If you want more details, here are the three available for trainers in the Galar region.

Sobble

Sobble, the shy and withdrawn water type, needs a patient and insightful trainer. This little water lizard lacks self-confidence and will benefit from an understanding trainer to help him grow taller. As it is a water type, it will find its strength against enemies on Fire, Rock and Ground. He has fewer weaknesses than his energetic friend, Scorbunny, with only Electric and Grass opponents on the roster.

Sobble is a sensitive Pokémon that can change colors to blend in with its surroundings. If it bothers you, it “will secrete the water in his body like sweat and disappear around it. ”Her tears will make others cry, much like an onion. He will use this to his advantage and escape.

If you are patient and understanding, Sobble will thrive under your care.

Grookey

The third and final starter in Sword and Shield is the Grass type, Grookey. As a type of weed, Grookey seeks to have the most weaknesses, but also very stable stats, if he follows trends. Grookey will fight against his enemies Fire, Ice, Bug, Flying and Poison. He will have the same forces as Sobble against enemies of water, rock and soil.

Grookey is a mischievous little monkey with emerging musical talents. According to the official Sword and Shield page, Grookey chose a branch of his forest that has gained special powers. Turning with the branch can restore faded flowers.

Trainers will need patience with the noisy little Pokemon, but otherwise they shouldn't have their hands full. Grookey appears to be the type of Pokemon who is happy to beat for hours on end with a makeshift drum. Trainers who might not have the greenest hand will appreciate Grookey's help in their backyard.

These are the three options for begging trainers in the Galar region. Choose the best that suits you and enjoy your journey through Galar. The adventure begins on November 15th.
