Synology presenta DiskStation Manager 7.0

 Synology unveiled the new version of its DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system during the celebration of its 2021 AND BEYOND virtual event. The new DSM 7.0 has been completely redesigned and offers new features in terms of storage, backup and hybrid cloud access on Synology NAS and data management systems.

“The amount of data processed daily is constantly increasing. DSM 7.0 enhances all aspects of Synology's operating system, from user interface and storage management, to cloud-compatible features such as large-scale device monitoring and on-demand storage. The best include:

· Redesigned storage management functionality, delivering higher performance, greater reliability, and more maintenance options to make the tasks of IT and equipment administrators easier. 

· Improvement of the user experience, facilitating the tasks of management, navigation and use of devices and expanding their functionality to meet new needs and requests in data administration. In addition, a more secure authentication process has been developed to prevent unwanted access while improving your convenience.



· Fiber Channel protocol support for low-latency, overhead implementations.

· Availability of Synology Photos, an all-new photo management solution that combines Synology Moments' AI image detection and management with the organizational flexibility of Synology Photo Station.


· New solutions such as Hybrid Share, which allows you to integrate and combine cloud storage with local storage for greater data security; o Active Insight, which offers the ability to monitor aggregate device performance and usage from a single portal. The new operating system will also have backup solutions that combine robust and comprehensive data protection with the convenience of the cloud.
