The Legend of Zelda: Link Awakening On Switch Walkthrough

You'll head to Bottle Grotto in Link's Awakening after saving BowWow from the Moblins. Make your way through Goponga Swamp and BowWow will eat the flowers there, giving you access to Bottle Grotto.

Link's Awakening - Walkthrough

Ignore the first piece, as the chest is blocked by pots and pans that you can move. Go through the north door, then use Magic Powder to light the two braziers on the raised canopy. This will cause the gate to open to the east. In the next room you will find two skeleton enemies. Their destruction will drop a key from the ceiling.

Stone beak

Go back to the room where you lit the braziers and use the key to the locked door that leads west. There are traps in this room that rush at you if you walk past them, so be careful. Kill the bats and the door to the north will open. Enter through the door, then jump the gap to reach the chest. Make sure to dodge the scarab when you jump, but when you land, hit it in the hole. This will open the door. Take the stone beak in the chest, then exit through the open door.

Compass

Now go back to the room where you fought the two skeletons. Head south through the locked door, where you will find a Mask Mask. You can kill him by holding down the sword button and then moving so that you are back to back. When you release the sword button, you launch a spin attack that kills it. This will bring up a chest containing the compass.

Get keys

Then we need keys. First, exit the Compass Room going north, then head east. Press the crystal and head south, where the barrier fell. You will find more blocks and another crystal. Click on it to drop the blocks and get the chest which will give you a key.

Leave the blocks at the bottom, then go east. Jump the holes and take the magic powder, then walk on the button to make a chest appear. This will give you another key.

Now go north, take out the Mimics the same way as before to drop another key from the ceiling. It will be behind a barrier, so head to the jumping room, west, then north, then east to get there and pick it up.

The mini boss

Retrace your steps into the room where you killed the two Mimics (on the other side of the barrier), then head east and open the locked door. Push the two blocks to cover the blue tiles, then take the stairs that appear.

Make your way through the subway, then exit using the ladder. You will see a wall sign to the north, you will get there and you will pass to the other side.

Now you have to fight against Hinox. It will grab onto you if you get too close and make sure you don't fall into the cracks in the floor either. Just keep your distance, hitting him when you can, and make sure you don't get caught.

Map

Ignore the distortion point that will appear and exit through the east door. Skip the holes and exit through the north door, but watch out for bats. The chest in the next room contains the map, but be careful not to access it as the purple orb will try to rip you off the ledge. Just the right time to get the card safely.

Exit through the north door, take the magic powder then open the chest to collect rupees, then go through the west door.

Power bracelet

By using magic powder to light a flashlight in this room, then you can kill the ghosts. Open the chest which appears to have the power bracelet. This will allow you to lift heavy objects like pots and pebbles that are blocking your path. Now go back to the next room and head up. Tap the crystal, enter the blue square, then tap the crystal again to continue on the top road. You will find a chest with a key between all the red squares.

Now go back and tap on the crystal again, making sure you stay on the red squares, then continue until you find another crystal. Hit it, then go through the door to the southeast.

Get the Nightmare Key

In this room, you will find a Polish voice (a thing resembling a rabbit), a bat and an envelope skeleton. You will need to kill them in the order below

  • Pols Voice - just push the squares to release it, then smash it with a pot.
  • Bat - strike with your sword
  • Shroud - strike it with your sword

If you're wrong, leave the room and come back to reset it. When you understand it correctly, a chest appears with the Nightmare key.

The nightmare

Leave to the north, then unlock the door to the east. Take out the pots with the pots, kill the red blob. Take the stairs that appear. You will be in the metro. Stand on the platform to lower it, then go up the ladder and grab a pot. Bring it to the next platform to bring down the combined weight.

Go up the stairs and unlock the door with the Nightmare key to face the Genie. This fight is pretty easy. Just dodge the fireballs, then when the genie enters his bottle smash him from the wall. Do this until the break, then hit the genie with your sword. When the genie splits in half, you can no longer harm him. So think until his weight is restored, then keep hitting him.

When he dies, take the heart container, then go west and grab the musical instrument. After that, you need to head to Ukuku meadow.
