It's no secret that Temtem was inspired by Pokémon, but by no means clone Pokémon. Temtem has a lot to differentiate it from the game that inspired its creation.
MMO
First and foremost, the main thing that sets Temtem apart from Pokémon games and its main selling point is that Temtem is a massively multiplayer online game, or MMO. This means that while it still has a story campaign, you are in the world of Temtem with a lot of other players! You can play alone, with friends, or even make new friends along the way! Longtime Pokémon fans have wanted a Pokémon MMO for years, but nothing from the Gamefreak side, so Crema stepped in and filled that void.
2v2 battles
If you're a fan of Pokémon Double Battles, you'll be happy to know that 2v2 is the primary Temtem battle mechanic. While some Temtem NPC Tamers only have one Temtem, and sometimes only one Untamed Temtem fights you, you still send 2 Temtems, and in the majority of battles you and your opponent both have 2 Temtems to the left. times.
Endurance
Gone are the days of spamming your strongest movement over and over again. Temtem offers a new combat mechanic called “stamina”. Rather than your Temtems having a limited number of times they can use a move until they are healed, they have an endurance meter. He rejuvenates in battle, and each attack costs some stamina. If you've spent more stamina than you have, your Temtem will overexert itself, causing it to take damage and lose its next turn. It's wise to juggle stronger and weaker attacks to reduce your average stamina expenditure during a battle, or if you want to focus on strong attacks, be sure to rest during battle, aka give up a move and just focus on regaining stamina to avoid overwork.
No gender lock
Temtem offers a large amount of customization options, with no gender locking on anything. All hair, faces, clothes, etc. are available to you, regardless of body type, voice or pronouns you choose. This allows players to choose from many more possible outfit / style combinations. There is no doubt that it will be easy to create a Temtem tamer that is truly unique and stands out from the crowd!

Bulb of Temessence
The worn-out Temtem squad? No problem! Essentially, the Vial of Temessence is a Pokémon Center in a Bottle - it revives and heals the team entirely. You can only take one dose at a time, but the vial itself is yours forever, and you automatically refill it for free each time to heal your Temporium Temtems. This makes long journeys and missions less taxing, knowing that you can get a fresh start with the Temessence Phial halfway through.
So if you thought Temtem was a carbon copy of Pokémon and wasn't worth your time, give it a try before you hit it! You might be surprised at how self-sufficient this game can be.
