What is the start date of Pokémon Go Battle League Season 5?

The Pokémon Go Battle League has been performing well since its release in early 2020. There was a pre-season where players got to see what all three leagues, the Great, Ultra, and Masters League were like, limiting the use of players. Pokémon of a certain maximum CP, 1.500, 2.500 and unlimited, respectfully. These rules have mostly remained the same, but there have been new events and cups, and the Halloween Cup ends Season 4. When does it end and when does Season 5 begin?

Niantic has given the coaches ample time to prepare for the arrival of Season 5 by clarifying that the start date will be November 9, starting at 13 p.m. PT. However, unlike previous seasons in Pokémon Go, it will work a little differently. Previously, each league lasted two weeks, then by the last week of the season all were available for a full week, giving coaches one last attempt to achieve the highest rank possible against others. This meant that a season lasted about a month and a half or so. Season 5, in total, will last three weeks.

The shorter period also means that no notes will be available. Players will progress throughout the season fighting and participating in battles every day, so the more you play, the more you advance whether you win or not. Niantic says he's doing this to allow coaches to explore options and alternate strategies that they typically wouldn't try to prepare for Season 6.

For those who wanted to try something unique and use Pokémon that never get the chance to stretch their legs, Season 5 is the time to shine. It all starts on November 9 at 13 p.m. PT.
