Android 10 now allows you to record your smartphone screen and the sound of open applications in a single video. By going through a third-party application, it is now possible to record the sound broadcast by your smartphone while taking video captures of the screen.

It is now possible torecord the sound played by your Android smartphone, noticed a user on Reddit. With his Google Pixel 3 running Android 10 and the third-party Screen Recorder application, he managed to record the sound coming from his applications and the image displayed on the screen of his mobile in the same video sequence.

Android 10: how to record the sound played by your smartphone

Before the update to Android 10, the Screen Recorder app only allowed you to record the sounds picked up by the microphone of a smartphone. The overlay developed by manufacturers like Xiaomi, Samsung or Huawei already made it possible to record the sound broadcast by applications while making a video capture of the screen.

Now, this option is natively allowed by Android. This new feature can in particular be useful for making gaming videos. If you have a smartphone equipped with the final version of Android 10, a Google Pixel therefore, and you want to record all the content, audio and video, from your smartphone, simply follow the maneuver below :

Download the Screen Recorder app from the Google Play Store
Open the app
Go to the Screen Recorder settings
In the audio source section, select Its internal rather than microphone
