After a long wait, Battle Breakers has finally arrived! This tactical role-playing game was eagerly awaited by gamers for around two years. On November 13, much to the delight of all fans, it was released. Let us dive into the game and see what this game is all about.

Development and reception

Battle Breakers was developed by Epic Games, one of the most famous video game developers / publishers in the United States. They are the developers of the legendary Unreal Engine, which is pretty much one of the most used video game engines these days. Many AAA titles use it, and that's one of the reasons Epic Games is so famous and popular. Another is simply said - Fortnite. In 2019, it's more likely to find a wallet full of cash on the street than to find a player who hasn't heard of Fortnite.

Battle Breakers had a soft launch in select countries in 2017, and two years later, on November 13, it was finally released. for PC on the Epic Games Store. On Android, it is available via App Epic Games, and Samsung Galaxy Store. It is also available on iOS via the App Store. On the App Store, Battle Breakers currently has 4,4 out of 5 stars with a score of around 1,4k.

In its essence, Battle Breakers is a hero collectible tactical RPG. Unlike most titles of a similar genre, it has a unique combat system. During the fight, you click on The crystals to reveal The objects, The buffs, The monsters, etc. All the heroes in the game have special abilities that you can use during battles. Apart from that, there is an elemental, rock, paper, scissors type system similar to other games in the genre. This means that each hero is tied to a certain element and has an advantage against one element while being weak against another.

As you progress through the game, you will gain levels. Each level lets you choose the passive bonuses that will be available to all of your heroes, which is a pretty cool feature. When it comes to heroes, there are Hundreds of them you can get. Battle Breakers has a cool feature called Hero Helper. Clicking on this option before combat will automatically adjust your configuration to counter enemy units present in that phase. This can be extremely useful, especially for new players, which is very nice.

Visually, Battle Breakers is quite impressive. The character design is very well done and the art style is amazing. Each hero is designed with a lot of detail, and while they look a bit cartoonish, you'll have a good chance of liking them, especially if you're a fan of this art style. The animations themselves are quite to be seen. Overall, the developers have polished all of the visual aspects of Battle Breakers well and in turn, the game is pretty polished.

Atmosphere

This is pretty much one of the best qualities of Battle Breaker. From the start you will hear the catchy song which is very reminiscent of old school cartoons such as Power Rangers. While this may sound extremely cheesy, it is in a good way, and it will definitely get you hyped for the action to come. Also, the fun of collecting new heroes and upgrading them as you go helps the atmosphere.
