Genshin Impact Update 1.1 - release date, content and rumors

Update 1.1 will be Genshin Impact's first major update since the game's launch, and people are eager to learn as much as possible about the content to come. In this article, we'll collect all rumors and confirmed information about the upcoming release, and update it regularly with new rumors, removing crushed rumors and adding any confirmed information that miYoHo releases over the next few weeks.

When is Genshin Impact update 1.1 released?

At the moment, no one knows, although it should happen at some point in the next few weeks.

Rumored content

Buffs and nerves

One of the biggest rumors is about buffs and nerfs for certain characters. Diluc, Venti, and Fischl will all get nerfs, while MOna, Keqing, and Beidou will get buffs. We do not yet know exactly what this entails.

New characters

There would be four new characters on the way. Zhongli is a 5 Star Geo user armed with a polearm, Child is a 5 Star Water elemental user wielding a spear, Xinyan is a 4 Star Pyro user and Dionna is a 4 Star Cryo user. You can also expect a new city to be added to the game in the form of Inazuma.

Compass eye

The update will apparently include an Oculi Compass that will help you track down your missing Anemoculus and Geoculus, which would be a great addition to the game in our opinion.

No new region

While a new region was supposed to be on the way, that has now been ruled out by a new batch of rumors. This potentially makes sense, as the map is already big enough and if a lot of people are still exploring it, the developers might think they have a bit more time to polish a new area.

New weapons

Apparently we'll have some new 4-star Claymores and Spears, which is great news for Razor enthusiasts.

That's all we have for now, but we'll keep this article updated regularly as new rumors and news spread.
