So wait a few seconds (the time for the photo to be uploaded to the site's servers) and you will find yourself in front of a page with a preview of your image and a list of all the vintage effects applicable to it.

    There are tons of filters to choose from: that one Vintage which makes the photo monochrome and less defined (just like a photo of a few decades ago), that Lomography which applies a lomo effect to the images making them particularly contrasted and full of colors, Sunrise which gives the photos a yellowish hue and many more. Just click on the button of each effect and it is immediately applied to the photo, but be careful because you can only select one at a time, they do not overlap.


    How to age a photo


    Once you have chosen the effect for age a photo you prefer, you can save the image obtained on your computer simply by clicking on the button Save Image located at the top right. On the page that opens, right-click on your photo and select the item Save image as from the menu that appears to save it in a folder on the PC. Alternatively, you can use the social sharing buttons to post the image directly to Facebook and Twitter.     If none of the effects available on Instant Retro fully satisfy you, you can change the parameters of the photos "manually" using the adjustment bars and options on the right side of the screen. Moving the indicators Darken edges, Lighten center e desaturate you can "play" with the shadows, lights and saturation level of the photos, while activating the options under the heading Effects you can apply numerous effects to images that will help you make them look more aged.


    Again, when you are satisfied with the result, all you have to do is click on the button Save Image, right-click on the photo and save it on your PC by choosing the appropriate item from the menu that opens. Simple, isn't it?
