    Command and Conquer Remastered allows us to once again lead Nod's forces in a vicious campaign because who cares about the other guys. For many people, this will be their first time playing through this particular piece of RTS history. The remaster gives the game a nice new coat of paint, adds support for modern resolutions, and redesigns the user interface a bit.

    Much of what's under the hood is exactly the same, so the game hasn't embraced many of the genre's modern conventions. Don't worry, though, as Command and Conquer still lets you do one of the most useful things in RTS gaming is that it lets you group units into groups and then quickly switch between them. at the push of a button.

    To do this, highlight a group of units by right-clicking and dragging on the screen, cover the desired units in the group. Then press Ctrl and a number key to assign all of these units to a group. Each number key then instantly selects all units in that group when pressed. You can assign up to ten different groups using the 1 to 0 keys.

    Now how you want to assign your groups is up to you. Some people like to assign only the same type of unit to a group, while others like to create small battalions of various units to move to new parts of the map. It's always a good idea to be aware of the strengths of each group you make and keep them away from any threats they are not suited to combat, while also evolving into a group that is better equipped to suppress it.
