Among the countless features offered by Google Assistant there is certainly the one related to the direct connection with some of the most famous and used streaming multimedia services in the world. In particular, in the city, the following are now supported: YouTube, Netflix, Infinity e Disney+. Today we will focus on the latter and see how to connect it to the virtual assistant of the Mountain View company.
Connect Disney + to Google Assistant
Before starting to see how it will then be possible to control Disney + using your voice, let's see how to connect the aforementioned service to Google Assistant using its settings.
- Invoke Google Assistant on your smartphone and swipe from bottom to top for "See your updates"
- Click on the profile picture at the top right
- Continue with "Services" and then with "Videos and photos"
- click "COLLEAGUE" under the heading "Disney +"
- Log in using your access data (subscription required)
Control Disney + with Google Assistant
Once the aforementioned streaming service is connected to Google Assistant, it will be possible to issue commands to control or start playback of all content belonging to Disney +. Obviously the application of the platform will need to be installed on the device from which they will be sent. Below, a list of possible requests to be made.
- "Hey Google, show me 'The Mandalorian' on Disney +": to start the last episode in the queue of the selected TV series
- "Hey Google, show me 'The Mandalorian' on TV": to play the last episode in the queue of the selected TV series on a TV with Chromecast
- "Hey Google, go back / forward X minutes on the TV": Skip to the previous / next X minutes of the content being played on the TV being played
- "Hey Google, stop on TV": To stop playback on the currently playing TV
