How to fix a message on Telegram for smartphones and tablets
You have followed my guide to create a Telegram group (or supergroup), or manage a Telegram channel and now you would like to set a notice at the top, which can act as a "notice" for members already present or for all those who are preparing to get into it?
No problem: you can complete this operation in a couple of taps, if you have the necessary privileges to do so (you must be the administrator or manager of the group, supergroup or channel you intend to act on). All clear? OK, let's move on right away. First, launch the Telegram calling it from the Android drawer (i.e. from the area that contains all the installed apps) or from the iOS Home screen, access the chat list active and tap on the item related to group, supergroup o channels on which you intend to act.
Once this is done, if you want to fix an already published message, identify it among those present in the chat. If needed, especially if it is a very active group or channel, you can help with the search function to find it easily: if you are on Android, tocca il pulsating (⋮) located at the top right and choose the item Search in the menu shown on the screen; up iOS, instead, you have to tap on the canal nome placed at the top and press the button in the shape of magnifying glass that is proposed to you.
Alternatively, you can post a new ad or new message to be fixed, as you usually would: enter the content in the appropriate text box, format it appropriately and tap on theairplane (for Android) or the up arrow (for iOS) to send it. Next, act differently depending on what operating system you have.
- Android - tap on comic related to the announcement / message in question to view the action menu, tap the item fixed annexed to the latter, indicates whether notify members acting on the appropriate box (operation necessary only on groups) and, finally, touch the button fixed to confirm everything.
- iOS - make a prolonged tap on comic containing the announcement / message of your interest and choose the item fixed from the menu that is proposed to you; if you are acting on a group, you will be asked if stare only the message without sending any notification to the members: make the most appropriate choice by pressing one of the two buttons that are proposed to you.
In case of second thoughts, you can replace the fixed message with another one, simply by repeating the steps seen above, or delete it completely by touching the icon in the shape of a (X) located next to it, in the resident area at the top of the chat screen.
To completely delete the fixed message, instead, tap on its content located at the top of the channel or group panel, so as to reach the actual message, touch or perform a prolonged tap on the same and select the item Delete give the menu that you come purpose.
How to fix a message on Telegram for PC above
Also stare up at a message on Telegram for PC it is really very simple and does not require any kind of particular technical competence: the only requirement to be respected, even in this case, is that you are the administrator of the channel, group or supergroup in which you intend to set it. If not and, of course, if you think this is the case, you can always ask an existing administrator to provide you with this type of privilege.
Anyway, launch Telegram for computer and, to pin an ad on a channels that you manage, click on the relative preview placed in the chat list; at this point, locate the ad that you intend to fix (if necessary, you can help you with the search function, accessible by clicking on the magnifying glass placed at the top) or post a new ad as you usually would (by typing the content in the appropriate text box, and then pressing the button Submit button to add it to the channel).
Once you have found the ad to be fixed, right click on the relative "comic" placed in the channel window, choose the item Fixed message attached to the menu that is proposed to you and confirms your willingness to proceed by clicking on the button fixed, located in the confirmation window that opens on the screen.
If you have to think again and want to delete the announcement you have just set, you can proceed in different ways: by repeating the procedure just seen on another message, to replace it; or leaving empty the fixed messages area: to do so, click on the fixed announcement placed at the top of the channel window to view it immediately in the chat. Then, right click on the relevant "comic" and choose the item Remove message, to delete it from the reserved area but still leave it in the chat, or the voice Delete message, to delete it completely.
The procedure for fixing messages in groups and supergroups is almost identical: open the chat window related to the group of your interest, locate the message to be fixed inside it, right-click on the corresponding "balloon" and select the item Fixed message from the menu that appears. Finally, indicate if notify members modify the message or not, by clicking on the relevant checkbox, then click on the button fixed to complete the procedure.
To delete the fixed message, also in this case, you have to click on the upper part of the group window to highlight it in the chat, right-click on its "balloon" and select the item Remove message from the proposed menu, to delete it only from the area dedicated to fixed messages, or on the item Delete message, to also delete it from the chat. Easy, right?
