Although the size of the applications, videos and photos available on the iPhone are constantly increasing, the memory of the aforementioned devices, at least in the basic version, is only 64GB (in some cases even 32GB). This obviously forces the user to try to free up as much memory as possible.
The problem arises, however, when one realizes the space occupied by the system. In this guide we will therefore try to understand what it includes and how to partially empty it.
Empty system space on iPhone
First of all: where can we check the amount of memory occupied by the system? To do this, simply open the app "Settings", continue with "General", click on "IPhone space" and go down. A section dedicated to the system will appear here.
Inside this, just as described by the same settings, there are gods "System files“, Probably elements used by the software for certain operations and then immediately put aside.
Unfortunately we can't be sure what's inside, but we can use a little ploy to free up some space. To do this, we will only need: the iPhone, a Mac (or Windows PC with iTunes) and a cable to connect the smartphone to the computer.
At this point, just connect the iPhone to the computer (on Mac you do not need to do anything else, on Windows PC you will have to open iTunes) and wait a few minutes without touching any button. Soon after, the system memory will be magically freed of about 1,5GB.
It's unclear why this all happens, but it's probably a job of diagnosis and optimization that Apple's backup software does on their devices. We therefore recommend that you repeat this operation periodically, as deleted files will not cause any data loss.
