How to get a Workshop in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

Workshops are a good way to make money in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, if you can manage to invest in the right Workshop in a good location. They don't come cheap, however, and you will need 10-000 gold to start your small business.

To buy a workshop, head to a big city, then wander around. You are looking for a town with a tavern and an arena, as these will have workshops for sale.

As you walk around town, hold Left Alt to bring up places and people of interest, and look for workshops. Go to one and talk to the worker you find there. You will have the option to purchase the venue, and will also be able to decide which workshop you want to set up.

This is where it gets a little tricky. The profitability of a workshop will depend on the availability of the goods it needs and the market for the product it makes.

Experimenting with different workshops is the only real course of action right now, as the community just doesn't have enough time in the game to now have the best things to build in different locations.

Some people seem to have had great success with a woodworker in Ortongard, while others find good feedback from a Smithy almost everywhere, we assume the constant need for weapons from different factions in the game.

We'll skip the next one while experimenting with different workshops in different areas and seeing exactly which guys make good investments in different cities. We'll update the guide with a few recommendations as soon as we're confident they'll give you good feedback.

There also appears to be a limit to the number of Workshops you can purchase which is tied to your clan level. At this time, this is difficult to confirm, but we'll update this article when we know more.
