How to get EX Grenades using Pee in Death Stranding
There are three different types of EX Grenades in the game. They are all obtained in different ways.
- EX 0 Grenades: pull them out of Sam's sweat.
- Grenades EX 1: Get them in Sam's urine.
- EX 2 Grenades: get them from Sam's stool.
You can get all of these grenades in Sam's private room when he wants to rest from the many deliveries and other things he will have to deal with on his journey. To get the most grenades from each category, you need to use them in different ways.
For EX 0 grenades, players need to keep Sam moving, sweaty, and covered in dirt. He will need to exercise while running. Immediately after a long childbirth, it's a good idea to ask Sam to take a shower to wash his hair. After the shower, there should be a handful of grenades available for players to use against BTs.
EX 1 grenades are a bit more universal. Because these depend on Sam's urine, players can choose to walk out in the middle of the world or go to their private room to use their toilet. If players are going to their private room, they should make sure they stand up to create the appropriate grenades and use whatever urine they have held inside Sam. The more urine he has, the more grenades there will be. To produce more urine, make sure Sam drinks his canteen and drinks as much as possible.
The final grenades, EX 2, are made from the private house, as they involve Sam's stool. These moments are a private matter, so Sam will have to use the toilet to relieve himself. The best way to make sure he has a full gut is to eat when he can, as if he was drinking regularly in the canteen. Make sure to store cryptobiotic snacks. This is a great way to replenish Sam's blood if he has lost any in previous encounters.
Make sure you have enough EX Grenades every time you go out of the world to make your life easier when dealing with BTs. They don't move too much and these grenades are a great way to get them to move around the map in front of you and leave a clear path for you. Good luck with Death Stranding.
